i'm pretty avoidant and "melancholic." I consider myself a jirai, they'll be a lot of potentially triggering content posted on this blog, but I do make a point to also post positivity. I am extremely pro recovery, and i will never post, repost, encourage, or glamorize self harm or abuse here. I will happily share milestones of recovery and anyone who follows along is welcome to do the same. most melancholic reblogs will also have some positivity in the tags, because I am extremely dead set on never finding myself in a hole again.

this blog is extremely strictly and unkindly anti any system origin other than traumagenic. this includes tulpamancy, willomancy/genic, endogenic, polyminds, or any other word that has been or will be made up from the time of me making this post. this is a strict no tolerance policy and you will see that I very openly post about the bullshit within these communities. CDDs form from trauma. research structural and tertiary dissociation.

Endos will call themselves punk and then talk about demedicalizing a disability that they see as fun and quirky while ignoring the implication that "demedicalizing" a disorder means that disabled people who need the support will be denied help or no longer taken seriously because it will basically be no longer considered a disability. Which. Listen man i could never feel safe near a group full of people spreading ideas like that

I personally really hate when people protest about being against demedicalizing an actual disorder that needs treatment with "ooohh oohhh psychiatry bootlicker" because I'm like. I had some bad experiences after being misdiagnosed and immediately medicated and dismissed when i mentioned hearing voices as an early teen. Does not mean that i want the whole concept of psychiatry destroyed because vulnerable people like me or other people who rely on medications sadly NEED to rely on things like these. And while there are okay doctors, some of them are BAD bad. (This is where i could fit a shooting lazers out of eyes joke. Ahem)

If people spreading these ideas really cared about disabled people they would be talking about how to hold neglecting professionals accountable in an effective way and giving disabled people an ability to have a say in their treatment without being mistreated or disrespected and dismissed

But it's very easy to talk about getting rid of support for a disorder when a "non disordered" person only sees one of it's symptoms as a fun online hobby or an identity -🌌🪽

Yes! It’s easy to say we should demedicalize things when you don’t have a disorder, without realizing that there are people out there who RELY on medical treatment. Not saying that the medical system doesn’t need huge changes but getting rid of all forms of psychiatric help would kill a lot of people.
