One of the most stupid arguments I've heard against sex work is that "they wouldn't do it if it weren't for the money" when that's not exclusive to sex work, I doubt my best friends mom would work 2 jobs as a cleaning lady and as a store clerk if it weren't for the money, I doubt my dad would work fixing shit and carrying heavy stuff if it weren't for the money, I doubt my sister would work as a cleaning lady in a hotel if it weren't for the money, I doubt my brother in law would work with heavy machinery that could kill him with one mistake (which almost happened once btw) if it weren't for the money, many people wouldn't work the jobs they're working rn if it weren't for the money

Just me screaming into the void

I gotta stay off twt man. I just saw a post w a fic screenshot and they were like this AI use is so obvious and I was like. I mean, I'm old, right? So what do I know. The tech has gone beyond me. But I looked at that and thought, I could have written that. Like, I have a style and that's it. And I know it's because AI has copied the same books I read, the ones from the last 30 years that taught me how to write. But god, what a nightmare it is out there.

There's no winning either, right? One second people are complaining the fandom is dead and nobody is writing good fic anymore. The next second they are saying they flat out WON'T READ anything written past 2023 because it might be AI. You're mad because this work is too descriptive so it might be AI? Normal writers don't describe what a room looks like in a way that sets a mood? I'm screaming, I'm insane. I'm losing my mind. If I keep looking at twt I'm just gonna find a screenshot of my own work telling me it was obviously written by a robot.
