tl;dr wen kexing notices zishuās martial strength and wants to find out who he is, considering he is in the middle of executing his revenge plan of 20 years and naturally does not want anyone messing it up. figuring out zishuās identity (and his stance on the lapis armor thing) is his initial motive for attaching himself to zzsās side.Ā
(like, yes, there is also interest, but wkx had no intention of chasing zishu before zishuās martial strength spurred wkxās vigilance)
(obviously this all backfires on wkx soon enough and he catches feelings, but to say he is just mindlessly chasing zishu out of hŠ¾rniness? thatās what he wants you to think! you fell into his trap!)
