tl;dr wen kexing notices zishu’s martial strength and wants to find out who he is, considering he is in the middle of executing his revenge plan of 20 years and naturally does not want anyone messing it up. figuring out zishu’s identity (and his stance on the lapis armor thing) is his initial motive for attaching himself to zzs’s side.
(like, yes, there is also interest, but wkx had no intention of chasing zishu before zishu’s martial strength spurred wkx’s vigilance)
(obviously this all backfires on wkx soon enough and he catches feelings, but to say he is just mindlessly chasing zishu out of hоrniness? that’s what he wants you to think! you fell into his trap!)
