Integral part of Tumblr's history: Ok yeah Dangit Grandpa is too but cmon. WTNV is partly the reason why Tumblr has its exquisite sense of humor and interest in the paranormal. Also got in the mainstream for a moment there. King shit.
Canonically Gay: In fucking 2012 as well. I have heard multiple stories of this radio host fawning over the brand new scientist being people's first show of canonical queer relationships ever multiple times, and it has helped so many queer fans feel seen by it.
Also Canonically Jewish: It's hard to even find good jewish representation in this day and age.
Not a twink: I can't speak for the early interpretations of Cecil's character (hnngh) but he's canonically thousands of years old (with a mental age of around 40), and from the very few descriptions of his appearance, is not skinny (nor fat, but thats irrevalent). Also, leading on to our next point-
Interesting dresser: From leather slacks to cowboy boots, orange galoshes to leotards, the man certainly has an eye for fashion. Bad fashion, but still.
