My boyfriend Z and I are still trying to move on from the domestic violence situation we dealt with last year with his ex. We’ve been working to get our feet under us, and the best thing for us now is to move to another place.
Due to complications from the COVID Z's ex gave us in 2024, we’re no longer physically capable of completing the move ourselves. We’re selling most of our furniture, but we still need help with what we must keep.
Currently our goal is $6000.
This is to cover a deposit, first month's rent, truck rentals and hiring help, plus a vet visit for our senior cat and paying off the last of our bills.
We are taking commissions AND donations. Since the abuser in question made it clear he was keeping tabs on the GFM Z was hosting, I’ll be hosting a new one, because I don't care if he reads this.

$250 - Our senior cat, Fantasia, needs to see a vet. He's come down with some kind of cold with sneezing and excessive mucus from his nose. I want him on the mend before putting him through the stress of a move.
$1,000 - To hire movers. Z and I are both physically disabled after Z's ex gave us COVID in 2024, destroying our bodies and exacerbating the chronic illnesses we already had. Based on the cost of labor in 2022 when Z first moved to our current house, it was about $500 per team, and it may take multiple teams or excessive costs for one team to both load and unload the truck. We will be moving VERY far from our current location, possibly out of state.
$500 - A rough estimate to renting a U-Haul for the distance required.
$750- Estimated cost to disconnect and reconnect our heat pump.
$500- to help us pay off the current electric, water/sewage and garbage bills that will still be due once we leave.
