The concept of Hawks not really being a likeable boss is so interesting to me. It's not that he's rude whatsoever it's just that he does not make himself available to anyone ever. If anyone has a problem, they go to a different staff member. And other agencies do team parties and outings but Hawks never involves himself in all that. He doesn't have the time. Doesn't care enough to fit it into his schedule. He's got his hero status to maintain, the Commission to keep happy, and his undercover mission to handle.

And it's like, they never have anything bad to say about him. No scandals or rude comments. Can't even say he's dismissive to them, because he's not THERE. people ask what it's like to work with Hawks and they're like "Don't ask me, I couldn't fucking tell you."
