Currently listening to Dur-Dur Band while working...
Currently playing LoterĂa on the work computer instead of being productive...
That title isn't a joke by the way—most destructive, annoying, disruptive group of people I've ever met—get them out of New York and make them someone else's problem, please God.
The collateral damage is getting on my fucking nerves:
Buildings destroyed
My place of work destroyed
Streets destroyed
My car thrown across several feet at villains like a fucking football (and sometimes they miss the goddamn villain)
Other shit thrown at my car
The amount of insurance I need with them around
All these magical, supernatural motherfuckers and none of you know a spell to fix all the destruction going on? (It's not even a difficult spell, it takes like two seconds to learn.)
I like my boring, peaceful, routine life, and a bunch of absolute bozos with stupid ass names and ugly, tacky ass costumes are ruining it with not being careful.
I need a goddamn cigarette, some bourbon, and some better heart and anxiety medication, because this is ridiculous.

Some stuff about me, I suppose, I can't be a hater all the time...
Adham Soule, 38, December 21th,
I work a distribution/redistribution company, I went to college for finance and computer science and engineering, as well as a vocational school for imports and exports, and a few other fields of education.
I like my job, boring office job with harsh fluorescent lights as it may be, I enjoy what I do and I'm good at it.
I like music—listening to it and playing the bass, just as a hobby, nothing profesional.
I usually just eat Ramen noodles and takeout, but only because I don't really have the time to actually cook a good meal. Not incapable, just busy.
I like cars and I used to do some street racing when I was younger, but not right now (and I used to have a motorcycle but that's a different story).
I like making art sometimes, but don't drag me to an art museum.
I like a lot of woody and fruity scents for my cologne and I've been using Velario Aurus recently, mainly to cover up the cigarette smoke.
I use SkullCandy earbuds, always have, always will.
I wish I could blame my appearance on how much I've been working, but I'm pretty sure I popped out of the womb with dark circles and eyebags.
Proud cat dad of three.
I like playing cards.
Avid nap taker.

Wade exists his apartment building a minute or so later and hurries over to the car. He opens the passenger door and smiles apologetically as he climbs in. “Sorry.” He says, buckling himself up. He’s dressed in a plain tee, an oversized cream colored cardigan and a pair of simple dark wash jeans. Sitting on his lap is the dish he’d prepared for the family which was a good old fashioned shepherds pie.
Wade watches out the window, shoulders tense as they make their way to their destination. He’s trying like hell not to be nervous and failing miserably. He tries to loosen up by humming to the music, his fingers tapping on the food container.
*His fingers tap against the wheel while he whistles with the lyrics and rhythm. He notices his nervousness but he decides to not draw attention to it or call him out.*
If they don't like you, they don't like you. No harm, no foul. But if it makes you feel better, the quiet anti-social asshole gene has only been passed down to me.
*He eventually pulls up to a small dark rusty red house, parking along five other cars near it and turning off his own car. He gets out and walks over to the passenger side, opening the door for Wade and closing it when he climbs out.* You ready?
Wade climbs from the passenger side and offers a small “thanks” before he sucks in a breath and lets it out just as quickly. “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
*He walks up to the front porch and opens the door without knocking, clearly not worried about propriety. The inside smells of food and alcohol with eight people talking, laughing, and playfully arguing.*
“Oh good lord..” Wade mumbles to himself but quickly perks up and decides fuck it. He walks over to the nearest person and offers a friendly smile. “Sorry to interrupt you. Nice to meet you; I’m Wade. I brought some food, just wondering where to set it?” That’s a good enough conversation starter… right?
Wade lets out a genuine laugh. “The pleasure is all mine.” Wade quickly finds something—anything—he can compliment this girl on. When he reaches his hand out to shake hers, he notices her nicely manicured nails and lights up. “Oh my gosh those are gorgeous! Where do you go?”
“Okay I see you, miss talented. Are you an artist or is this solely a nail hobby?” Wade can feel himself relax the more he talks to Asa. Eventually, more people are introduced, all of which he gets on with just fine. Between his jokes and general social-butterfly-ness, Wade is having little to no issue fitting right in.
*The whole lot of them eat, drink, smoke, plsy games like card games, dominoes, board games, and plenty of rounds of video games. Adham seems a lot lighter—shoulders relaxed, smiling far more often, being pretty physically affectionate or rough-housing with his blood relatives and friends that he full-on considers family, even treating Wade roughly the same, and his loved ones acting the same with him.*
Wade is almost annoyed with how much fun he’s having. He had been so sure this night was going to have him sitting tense for its entirety, but it was the exact opposite. He was currently passing a blunt between himself and a few others while sitting on the couch and in the middle of an intense round of Mario kart. “I know you did not just blue shell my ass! Did you just blue shell my ass? No more weed for you.”
“I can read, douche nozzle, believe it or not!”
Wade tries like hell and still finishes in third place. He huffs and sets the controller aside. “Shits rigged. I’m quitting the band, man! …where’s the weed?”
Wade flips Adham off before he grabs the blunt from the ashtray and sucks in a hit, reveling in the way his throat and lungs burn. He exhales the smoke slowly. “I want food. There’s still food, right?”
“Yeah yeah. Only cuz you asked nicely.” Wade hops to his feet and disappears into the kitchen. He returns a few minutes later and passes Adham a plate before sitting down with his own. “Should we all crack open some drinks and put something stupid on the TV?” He suggests.
Uhh, probably, I'm pretty sure we still got drinks, and we got a movie and TV list that we've been using for awhile. Let's see... Train to Busan, Godzilla, Heathers, Carrie, The Bear, Doctor Who, a few others...
Wade perks up at the movie mentions, covering his mouth with his hand and swallowing the food before speaking. “Which version of Carrie? Is it the one with Sissy Spacek? Oh hell yeah put it on.”
Wade sits back on the couch throwing back a bottle of beer, quoting Carrie word for word often enough that it’s clear he enjoys the movie.
“Horror movies are my shit, dude. Don’t kill my buzz.”
When the movie concludes, Wade checks his phone and sees it’s just barely past midnight. He doesn’t want to be rude and tell Adham he needs to head out, so he just gives him a look and hopes the guy can somehow read what his face is trying to say.
“Oh, yeah, sure!” Wade also says his goodbyes to everyone, letting all of them individually know how nice it was to meet them. He receives a few hugs which he hadn’t been expecting but returns them enthusiastically before he follows Adham out and to the car.
Wade visibly shivers and wraps his cardigan tightly around himself. “Good idea. I got it.” Wade pulls his phone out and brings up the Lyft app, choosing the car that will get there the fastest. “Should be like ten minutes.” He says, putting his phone back and then shoving his hands into his pockets to warm them up.
Wade glances down at him but stays perfectly still the entire ride so he doesn’t disturb the other. When the car pulls up to Adham’s house, Wade finally taps him gently on his arm. “Hey, you’re home.” He says just above a whisper.
*His eyes flutter open before he can finally work up the strength to get up and out the car, giving him a quick hug and small kiss on his temple before pulling away.*
“Later..” Wade says back, sucking in a breath and trying to have at least a little bit of impulse control. He fails. “Wait—“ Wade reaches out to him before he can exit the car. He leans in and pecks Adham quickly on the lips, his face flushing a deep scarlet when he pulls back.

Adjusting in her sleep, she eventually turns over. She’s wearing thin cotton, bare-shouldered and now exposing her scars. Two symmetrical divots expanding her shoulder blades, rising and falling with her breathing. -🪽
