“I cried to God about it because I couldn’t explain it to anyone else.”

4 years later and I am back in a graduation gown.
Graduating from college with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing seems so surreal...I’m currently avoiding studying right now - yes, post-grad life and I am here still STUDYING, who does that...Nursing graduates who need to pass boards, thats who. I am one of those lucky people that have to take a test before I can go out into the real world. Probably one of the most important tests in my career.
Nursing school was tough and it has definitely made me emotionally unstable at times, BUT I have to say I had some of the best experiences and have met some of the greatest people through nursing school. In the past year, I also worked as a Nurse Tech on an oncology unit, as you can imagine trying to be mentally stable, maintaining a job, as well as going through school, AND to be away from family and friends back home...it was HARD, and I am not going to sugar coat the fact that I felt like I was drowning through it all. What matters is that by the grace of God I made it through.
With that being said, I am so grateful to be done with that part. Now, seeing my friends getting engaged, getting married, going through interviews, getting jobs, flying to other parts of the world, moving to other cities or states, pursuing an even higher degree, I’ve come to realize how much they've grown on me and how much I MISS their company. Although I do not miss the workload of school, I miss the people and the relationships.
I graduated nursing school, I went on a cultural immersion trip to Kenya to practice nursing, I got inducted to an honor society for a lifetime, and I got a job in line as a registered nurse here in Washington - I have one more thing on my check list and that is to pass the NCLEX; the dreadful nursing boards examination that I HAVE to pass in order for me to get the green light to practice nursing...No pressure lol.
But that is an update - I graduated and post-grad life involves me STUDYING, what’s new? Nothing apparently!
I’ll be back when I’ve taken my test and have gotten my results! Praying things are in God’s favor.

I cannot stress this enough- Build a routine. Build Habits. Wake up every day and get used to being productive, one day at a time. Do this for long enough and eventually you’ll be at your goal without even realising it.

Today’s post is a special request from a good friend who’s going through chemo right now. 💪🏻 We’re all thinking about you, praying for you and we love you!
He faced all this for you, for you to be loved, blessed, glorified, exalted, satisfied, accepted, freed and resurrected.
If you wish to know God, you must know His Word.
