One of the greatest lies men ever told themselves and believed is that they are the pinnacle of morality.

The group of people way more likely to commit the most cruel and violent acts and crimes against women and children, other men, animals, nature etc. -are somehow always morally superior in comparison to women?

Most men use this underlying thought to fuel their denial, justification and continuation of the oppression of women. From male philosophers, psychologists to scientists, all of their ideas are rooted in their own belief and obsession with their inherent “good morals” in comparison to women.

“ I, as a man, am the only being that is morally good therefore I should be in charge of everything and everyone and I am inherently superior. I am the basis of all things human” lots of men literally consciously and subconsciously think this way, it is the basis of why they treat women and children in such an inhumane way. They only recognise their own humanity that is always tied to their maleness.

Males think they are the pinnacle of humanity and what it means to be human and disregard everyone else’s humanity. Nobody is as human as them, and the patriarchal society we live in affirms this.

Disclaimer: This post is NOT me agreeing with the way males view themselves, it is an explanation of how they view themselves and where one of their needs to oppress women stems from, so that we can recognise when men use arguments that indicate this sentiment and call it out because they are NOT in any way morally superior to women.

isn’t it fascinating how women are socialised to care about aestheticism in literally every single aspect apart from when it comes to men?

of course there’s the obvious ones relating to her own appearance and other women’s: does gold or silver jewellery suit her? is her “colour palette” a winter or a summer? is lipstick shade #49 the perfect nude or does shade #51 suit her better? do her breasts look flattering in a sweetheart neckline or would a halter be better? would a turkey nose job suit her? how should she pose for this instagram photo? how does her body look in this nude?

and women’s conditioned flair for aestheticism bleeds over to every other aspect of her life too: the popularity of pinterest and tumblr among women and girls, her well-decorated bedroom and apartment (meanwhile just look at a male’s living space), her laying out the table and presenting the food perfectly for a nice dinner, or her constantly decorating her place with fresh flowers or changing up decor in line with the seasons, her gravitating towards characters that look “cute”, or her having visual hobbies like arts and crafts, knitting, gardening, jewellery making, pottery, baking, her carrying her polaroid camera everywhere

so, we’re somehow meant to believe males are “ViSuAL cReAtUrEs” when they’re visual about nothing beyond women and girls’ bodies, and were also meant to believe women are NOT visual creatures when it comes to men even though they’re visual about literally everything else?

There is no wrong way to be a woman. However you are doing womanhood is correct. You cannot fail at being a woman. The one and only deciding factor of whether you are a woman or not is being of the female sex. Everything else is made up gender roles. Live your life how you want to live it.

i desperately need women and girls to know that ur body does fucking NOT stop “growing” at 18. the exact same diet the exact same exercise, your body WILL CHANGE into ur twenties and beyond. you will most likely put on weight, as in like, 10kg/20lbs of weight at least. i need you to understand that just the same way a child puts on weight as it grows into a teenager, you are not “letting yourself go” or “getting fat” or “losing shape”. you are still growing and changing.

your body will process things differently, your bone density will change, your body will NATURALLY and HEALTHILY store extra fat.

i understand many women are afraid of aging thanks to patriarchy, which is a topic for another post, but at the very least i need women to understand that ur body changing past ur teenage years is normal aging. your body at 25 is not meant to look like your body at 18. and if you’re worried about beauty standards and men not liking the body of an adult woman than worry not, since those men are pedophiles anyway and beauty standards were made by fucking epstein and friends

Darling, you're completely missing the point.

It's not "evil feminazis treat femininity as inferior". Patriarchy collected 'inferior' attributes — more precisely, 'attributes which are usually related to being submissive rather than being dominant, being passive rather than being assertive, being a slaver rather than being a master, and therefore useful tools for controlling and belittling others' — and labeled them as feminine.

Skirts, high heels, long hair, and wearing makeup are not inherently feminine. Being petite or slender or curvy isn't inherently feminine. Being quiet and gentle and docile isn't inherently feminine. These things are the reins that help men control and domesticate women as they like. 'Feminine' clothes and makeups restrain women from physically using their body freely; 'feminine' body requires women to go through various things which are dangerously unhealthy or completely unnecessary; women being quiet, submissive and passive make them easier targets for men to control; etc etc. These kinds of 'femininity' are the signs of a slave.

And misogynists say that feminists who criticize these things are misogynistic for talking bad about femininity and tomboys who don't want these things are actually trans or non-bi or genderfluid or whatever other bullshit for refusing femininity.

Fuck it, really.

Those things don't define being female. Not wanting those things doesn't mean we refuse to be female or secretly want to be male. That means we want to be human. Not a collective concept of frilly clothes and makeups and slender, hairless body and submission but fucking human.

This is why Korean radical feminists started 'off the corset' movement which now evolved into 6b4t. Lipstick feminists and choice feminists still have a long way to follow.

‎We need to distinguish between a real feminist movement vs women led broader social justice movements. Women's participation or leadership in a movement doesn't automatically make it feminist, nor does women's presence alone ensure that women's issues are being addressed by itself. Doing so requires efforts, a distinct explanatory political framework and an independent mobilization of women.

A feminist movement is solely the one whose goal is women's liberation from patriarchy.

I'm ngl the recent need to assign every woman an "aesthetic", to put her into a box and label her as a specific "type" of woman (a clean girl, an alt girl, a cottagecore girl, or most obviously, a goth girl) is reminiscent of how women are labelled in porn; infact I'd argue it's pretty much identical. Men use these "aesthetics" to describe a type of woman he wants, as if we're a dog breed. When he says he wants a "goth girl", he means a specific type of woman portrayed in a pornographic light; kinky, bossy, big tits. When he says he wants a clean girl, he's also describing a porn category; he wants a woman who is unnaturally hairless, face caked on with makeup to hide any form of "blemish" but in a way that looks "natural" so he can continue living in the lie that porn has promised him, a woman who appears simple and won't cause much of a fuss, and so will bend to his will. Aesthetics are capitalistic by nature, but they are also deeply embedded into patriarchy; they convince you to focus on becoming a type of woman, while also robbing you of your money and your thoughts at the same time. The men are fucking us over twice with the same idea. Two birds, one stone.
