the team may be bad but sharks fans are undefeated 😭

in honor of tonight’s pride night, the nhl and the flyers are posting about Scott Laughton’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. this is not new for him. he’s been supportive for at least a few seasons now.

and what’s awesome is that it’s not just laughtsy that talked to LGBTQ+ participants. joel farabee and cam atkinson also joined him.

this may be nothing, but it is so nice and heartwarming that the players we lovingly refer to as pests are the ones speaking up for hockey pride night and inclusion. like matthew tkachuk saying everyone is welcome to their locker room, and brad marchand being the hockey is for everyone ambassador for the bruins for years now, both of them open about their support and wearing pride tape and the jerseys. not to mention that both of them are alternate captains for their teams, so they are in important leadership roles, and are role models for the other players. idk it's just nice. just shows how much the annoying (for some) on ice antics doesn't make someone a bad person in real life.
