"That’s great!" The enjoyed the company of her friends. "Mhmm! We can only hope so. It’s like Math’s sole purpose is to confuse students." She giggled then looked at the boy. "Did you finish the assigned reading yet? We could discuss the book before we we have to write the report that’s due in the end of the week." She hoped her friend did not forget about the assignment.
"I finished that awhile ago... At least, I think I did." He scratches his cheek in thought, trying to remember if her really did complete the assignment or was just imagining it. It wouldn't be surprised if the latter turned out to be true.
"Well we’ll just have to fix that now won’t we? Maybe a little reunion party or something?" She asked with a thoughtful smile. Mimi loved planning parties.
"A reunion party? That sounds fun." He flashed her a smile. "It would be really nice to. Everyone could really use a break."
"Has school been difficult this year? Though even if it wasn’t everyone could use a break from it." Mimi answered.
"A lot of us got stuck with some pretty difficult teachers." He sighs, thinking of one in particular. "Regardless, a break would just be nice.
"Oh, wonderful!" Mimi said, clapping her hands together. "I’ll call the hotel right away and cancel. Oh, and I’ll pay for half the taxi ride back to your place."
She dialed the number, and quickly canceled her reservation to the hotel. As they waited for the taxi, Mimi leaned against Takeru’s shoulder.
"Ugh. What a long day it’s been already."
He glances down at her with a soft smile. "Don't worry, Mimi. Once we get back to my place you can relax all you want. I promise." He kept his eye out for the taxi, not wanting the day to get worse by the off chance of it missing them.
