A/N this was rushed and not proofread, so I have no idea if it's any good.
The sound of the sliding door slamming shut makes you flinch, already shaking like a leaf. Leo's fury filled voice doesn't help your shivering body. Sitting on his bed, looking up at him with weary eyes.
“I mean are you kidding me! How many times will we have to do this?” Leo fails his arms about, anger blinding him from the tears and choked apologies emitting from you. You could spot spit flying from his mouth with how much he was yelling.
“L-leo..” You hick out, voice quiet and strained with sobs. The blue clad turtle stops in his fit of rage, looking down at you. God, you looked so cute like this. Eyes blurred with tears, lips quivering, and that voice that plagued his every thought getting caught in your throat.
“Oh honey…” The same man who was just yelling your ear off, now looked so soft, welcoming, kind. The same man you had fallen in love with. Glimpses of that version of Leo always kept you under his thumb. The second his voice went soft, suddenly the yelling and fighting wasn't so bad. He was deceiving like that, able to switch over his personality by the flip of a coin.
Leo sits next to you on his mattress, swinging a marked arm over your shoulders, pulling you in closer. His voice was soft, akin to a lover's whisper. “I know you're scared, sweets. But you can't go running off like that. I don't want to have to punish you again. And I know you don't want that either.” His breath is hot against your ear, making you squirm in his tight hold. “Is this about attention, Hmm? Am I not giving you enough?”
He chuckles softly, teasingly. One of his three fingered hands snakes its way down to your hip, digging his nails into the soft flesh. “You don't have to pull some stupid stunt for my attention. You know I'd be glad to spoil you with whatever you want.” The blood in your veins runs cold. You didn't want more attention- it was suffocating at times. Leo's hands and voice would fill your every sense, his scent burned into your nose. He could be too much so often, but suddenly nothing at the same time.
Yet, you never asked him to stop. So did you really hate it as much as you claimed? The familiar feeling of blood rushing to your cheeks makes you hide your face in the hoodie he had gifted you for your birthday. Though, it only made things worse, his scent stuck to it like glue filled your nose and his voice murmured in your ears.
Maybe you did do it for attention, or maybe you did it to get away. You couldn't tell anymore. The lines of hate and love too blurred to tell. Your mind has been worn down from the months spent down here. Leo was all you had. He's all you've ever had.
The hoodie wrapped around your face being tugged down pulls you from your thoughts. Leo's striped face meeting your red and puffy one. He gives you a small peck on the lips, then another one, more passionate this time. You stare at him after he pulls away. He never failed when it came to grounding you.
“It's okay, and I'm sorry I freaked out. You know it's only because I care.” You try to relish this moment, you know what's coming next. There was no excuse to get you out of a punishment. “I'll go easy on you this time. I swear.” His whispers in your ear, yet it can't distract you from the tell-tale sound of him rummaging on the shared nightstand.
You squeeze your eyes shut and suck in a breath. A sharp blade soon pressed against your back, pressed near lines of tally marks. A tally for each attempt to escape. A reminder of everytime you wronged him, everytime you tried to leave him.
The feeling of the blade digging into your flesh doesn't hurt nearly as much as it used to. Your body has become slightly used to the feeling, but it doesn't stop tears from falling down your face.
Leonardo's plastron pressed painfully against your chest as he whispers small degrading words into your ears. “I wish you weren't so stupid… Always trying to leave.” He presses the point of the blade a little deeper, earning a choked sob from you.
“I-Im sorry! Leo please-” You manage to strangle out, pain taking your voice away from reach. Relief is brought when the sound of the small blade clattering onto the bedside table blesses your ears. Taking a long breath out as he presses a piece of gauze to your back. Muttering backhanded apologies to you.
Soft kisses are placed onto your neck as the soft sobs from you slowly come to an end. The way you squirm only messes with your head more. You feel drunk. Head swirling and body hot with embarrassment.
Before too long, you found yourself half asleep resting atop Leo's lap. He purrs out coo's and plays with your hair. “Goodnight sweetheart. I love you.” And the world began to fade from your head.
I'm only saying this for your sake, but objectively, it's not a smart idea to bring politics into normal hobbies. You might lose supporters of your blog just because of your political stance, and that would be terrible since you're so amazing!! It's only a suggestion, but I really reccomend not bringing politics into anything.
Once again, I am so so so sorry for not posting. Since I posted my last fic, I have been to the ER/hospital over 3 times🥀
Everytime I go to write I get sniped I swear. I am currently dealing with a random object stuck in my arm and a bruised skull. So hopefully I will write soon.

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mohamad S., who is facing one of the most challenging times of his life. Mohamad is 37 years old and left his homeland in 2015 in search of a safer and better future. He’s a kind, hardworking man, and his small family has always been his greatest priority.
Living abroad, Mohamad has recently endured unimaginable loss and financial strain. Amidst the ongoing conflict in his homeland, his mother passed away, leaving behind his sister and her five young children—the last remaining members of his immediate family.
As the situation worsened, Mohamad managed to help his sister and her children escape to safety in Egypt, covering their immediate needs and securing a temporary refuge for them. Since then, he has been fully responsible for providing everything they need to survive during this transition.
In his efforts to support his family and cope with this devastating loss, Mohamad has found himself deeply in debt. To make matters even more difficult, he recently underwent knee surgery, which limits his ability to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has made it even harder for him to manage his financial responsibilities and the pressing need to provide his family with a stable future.
Mohamad is now working to bring his sister and her five children to join him in Belgium, where he hopes they can find stability and opportunity after all they’ve endured. This transition, however, requires significant resources that he is currently unable to meet alone.
For privacy reasons, we are not sharing Mohamad’s full name, as he has chosen to keep his identity discreet. While he initially refused the idea of asking for help, I couldn’t stand by and watch him struggle alone. I insisted on doing this for him because he deserves a chance to overcome these challenges.
Your contribution will help Mohamad repay the debt incurred during this difficult time, cover ongoing living expenses for his family, and assist with the costs involved in bringing them safely to Belgium.
Mohamad has been a good friend of mine for years, and I’ve always admired his resilience and generosity. Any support, no matter the size, will make an incredible difference in helping Mohamad and his family rebuild their lives after these painful experiences.
