At first he'll be a little confused, trying to at least gain some sort of reaction from you. Either through pranks or trying to talk to you.
Then, he'll probably start being mean to you like he does with everyone else. Maybe he'll start targeting you more than Gangle!
He'll also try and get your attention in any way, whether it be through his pranks or not.
Then, his pranks start to get more.. on the violent side. Such as being stabbed by a incoming spear during an adventure from the direction Jax oh-so-happens to be there. He feels like he needs to in order to gain your attention back so that his attachment issues feel correct and try to get a reaction from you.
But if you still SOMEHOW act nonchalant, he'll feel like that he didn't even mean anything to you in the first place and just.. Give up.
What's the point of trying to get your attention when he'll never get it?

Jax would probably try and get you to be a bit more extreme with your pranks sometimes and you have to tell him to chill out. You still remember the time when he tried to convince you to pour a bucket of snakes on Gangle or throw a bunch of cetipeides at Ragatha and have her step on a rake.
You also have to scold Jax when he does a prank that’s too mean. Even if he tries to use those big ol’ puppy eyes.
He does in fact tease you sometimes, whether you do something that he considers cute or accidentally do a backflip on a banana (you fell on the banana he put for Zooble.)
You sometimes try to climb Jax like a tree. He doesn’t know why, or how. But he loves that.
Jax does try and convince you to let him use you as a baseball bat. You’re confused on why or if he’s even joking.
Jax picks you up like a sack of potatoes over his shoulders sometimes whenever he wants to drag you to do a prank of sorts. Get tossed fool /silly
You’re allowed to be affectionate to him when he’s alone, although he acts like he hates it to mess with you.

- Caine would definitely not expect you to even be affectionate at first, probably would say something like "WOAH THERE!! LETS NOT GET TOO FRISKY MY MUTANT MUNCH!!" When you try to kiss him on uh.. Actually where would you kiss him. On his teeth????
- After a while, Caine would probably try to act nonchalant when near the circus members.. But in private, oh God pray for your ass because Caine would literally BEG you to snuggle with him or something like that.
- Hold him by the waist and now you get free man whimpering ASMR /hj

He’d definitely also would try and get you to socialize with some of the other Toons, standing beside you in case you get a little too nervous.
Speaking of previous headcanon, you might have to sometimes try and tell him to calm down a bit if you’re just trying to talk.
Sprout DEFO gets cuteness aggression sometimes around you, but doesn’t try and smother you with attention in case you don’t like it- CONSENT IS FUCKING SEXY Y’ALL. WE LOVE CONSENT IN THIS HOUSEHOLD.
He also does get a bit overprotective over of you too, sometimes you do have to tell him to also chill out.
If you’re distracted on something, he will try and get you back on task. But if all fails he will just try and watch or do whatever the hell you’re doing-
Sometimes you somehow get distracted while you’re trying to sleep and get out of bed. So this dumbass of a strawberry will drag you to bed and cuddle you. He says he’s making sure you sleep. He actually just wants an excuse to cuddle-

Everyone was gathered in front of the stage, preparing themselves for another adventure in the circus. You stood next to the colorful jester who was named Pomni (Who happened to be your girlfriend!!!) You turned your head over to her and started talking with her.
“So.. How’re ya doing Pompoms?” You jokingly asked, stifling a chuckle.
“...[Y/N], never ever call me that again.” She stated bluntly, side-eyeing you HEAVILY.
“Awhhh, why not???” You turned over to her fully and poked her arm. Smirking as you did so.
You noticed that Caine was now floating over to the stage, you sighed as you turned your body slightly towards him to pretend you cared about these adventures.
“HELLO MY FICKLING FINNISH FINANCES!!!” Caine threw out his arms to the side excitedly as he stated that, while Bubble just.. Floated next to him. “TODAY’S ADVENTURE IS..”
Suddenly, a random barrage of snare drums started playing, getting louder and louder until Caine yelled out, “CAT BARAGE CATRASTROPHE!!!”
Everyone in the circus was now confused as HELL on what this adventure could ever possibly be. As Caine started to explain, basically half of the circus members will turn into.. Cat people??? The circus members were confused. Except for Gangle for some reason- Anyways. Pomni, Zooble, Kinger, and for some reason Bubble, suddenly now had cat ears and a cat tail at the snap of Caine’s fingers.
"oh boy, I'm a pussy now!" Bubble randomly uttered. wait how was he uncensored-
You–who was standing next to Pomni–Started cackling your ass off, laughing at the fact on how.. Cute Pomni actually looked now and what Bubble just said. You patted Pomni’s head after you gained your composure again.
“You look so goofy like this, CatPoms.” You teased, still petting Pomni’s head
“I hate that nickname even more..” Pomni flusteredly replied, pulling her jester hat over her face, knowing damn well that you’re still gonna tease her.
Jax then popped into the conversation “Yea you two lovebirds, get a room ya freaks~” He teased, smirking like the jackass he is.
Zooble turned to Jax, annoyed at him for mocking the two of you “Jax, shut. Before I throw my arm at you, jacka[HONK!!]”
The two of them started bickering.
Meanwhile, you didn’t even bother to listen to the rest of what the adventure was when Caine started elaborating, as you decided to drag Pomni off to your room out of spite of that ugly purple rabbit. Pomni just pouted a bit, her cat tail lashing in annoyance and ears pinned down like airplane wings. You looked behind you and seeing Pomni like that just made you giggle even more. Oh you loved that stupid jester so much.
As the two of you reached your room, Pomni then stated “Wait.. Wouldn’t Caine be.. Y’know, angry??”
“..Yea.. You’re right- But who cares??” You then kissed Pomni on the cheek, quickly shutting her up as a pink hue started appearing on her cheeks.
Her new cat tail swished in annoyance as you started peppering her face with kisses and wrapping your arm around her waist while you giggled like a madman. You noticed that her cat tail was adorned with a cute golden bell near the tip of the tail that had a blue-and-red ribbon that attached it to said tail.
The both of you then went over to the bed to snuggle because FUCK THAT GODDAMN ADVENTURE. Plus, you just wanted an excuse to mess with Pomni’s new and most likely temporary tail. As the two of you got comfy, you held Pomni’s cheek, giggling at the sight of her. You just couldn’t help it, she’s so freaking cute!!! You then gave her another kiss on the cheek before you stopped so you can let that poor jester have a break- But you just let her rest on your chest like a weighted blanket that you happen to kiss a lot because it’s cute.
You started moving your hand over to her tail and started messing with it, as Pomni just gave up trying to stop ya. Her eyes started drooping a bit, you were confused for a hot second before she just.. Plopped. You guessed she was just tired, so you let her rest. You were now laying on your back with your girlfriend–who is for some reason now a catgirl–laying on your chest.. Is this even more than heaven?? After a while, your own eyes started to get heavy. So you decided to also close your eyes. After all, what’s wrong with a little nap?

You were laying on your bed, tired as usual. You knew that outside your door, another day of going on adventures that felt more or so like torture awaits you. Even though you did feel too exhausted to even get out of bed, you forced yourself to. You stretched your arms and decided to look in the mirror. Seeing the scars that still lingers on your wrists, from when you were in a.. Much, much more worse time in the circus. You sighed as you stared at your digital form, as you were JUST about to reach for your jacket–which was on your bedside table–When a sudden loud and awfully obnoxious knock came from your door that you assumed was a certain jackass whose name started with a J and ends with ax.. You were going to answer it, but, the knocking stopped, and you felt a presence behind you.
“HEELLOOOO MY NELPING NEURON!!!”
..Yep. That was Caine alright. You got spooked for a hot second, before turning around to face him, knowing that you might have to deal with his over-the-top and eccentric personality for a while.
“Oh. Hello Caine…” You muttered, your voice sounding a bit monotone, as you decided to wave to him a bit.
Before quickly remembering that you forgot your jacket-.. Ohhhh shit. Hope he didn’t notice that! You hope. But Caine flew over to you and tried dragging you out of your room, yapping and bloating about a new adventure that the other circus members including you will go on today. You yelped as you tried pulling back against his grip to grab your jacket that was still on the table.
“CAINE- WAIT I FORGOT SOMETHING-!!” You scrambled out of his grip, about to reach your jacket.
Until a giant hand dragged you back to him by your wrist, and as you looked behind yourself–Expecting a very upset or annoyed Caine– You instead noticed him looking.. Concerned? Or, at least as concerned as a pair of dentures with eyes would look. And then you realized.. Shit, he did see them.
“...[Y/N].. What’s that on your wrist?” Caine quired, forcibly turning the wrist–that was being held by his giant hand and now by his regular hand– over. Showing the healed scars.
“O-OH UH- THOSE ARE- UHM-” You tried making up an excuse off the top of your head, trying to make up an excuse that a very 9-armed cat scratched you up during a past adventure.
“I don’t remember doing that.” Caine stated, scanning over the scars, noticing how they’re.. Too neat to be caused by an 9-armed cat. “...Did you do these yourself?”
Although a part of you wanted to say yes, you instead shook your head. But, it seemed like Caine had a fucking 6th sense and SOMEHOWINGLY knew you were lying
“Don’t lie to me. [Y/N]. Did. You. Do. This.”
…Oh sweet mother of jesus christ on a bicycle holding a dildo, this is scary. You tried making up another excuse but nothing came out, words started getting stuck in your throat as you started panicking. And you feared that Caine would get PISSED and probably yell at you on how ungreatful you were and how-
Instead. He hugged you. You were stunned, why would he do this? You thought he’d be mad and.. You froze in the hug, just straight up not even expecting this at all. But it felt oddly nice. Caine patted your back before pulling back, staring at you with some form of sadness and concern.
“..I’m.. Not sure how to deal with this…” Caine stated. Acting REALLY out of character right now.
You also didn’t know either. You never really expected anyone to see them. But I guess life–Or digital life–Can surprise you. So you hugged him tightly, and started crying into his shoulder. And Caine got equally surprised, so, he awkwardly held you as you cried.
After a bit, you somehow got tired. Caine floated over to your bed and dumped you onto it. You were just lying on it, your eyes puffy from all the crying. And for some reason Caine gave you a goodnight “kiss”.. Which was just more or so a peck with his teeth. But he floated there, watching you sleep… for some reason it was oddly comforting. And as you thought of that, you started drifting back into sleep. And slipping back into your dreams again..
