she had a month in solitude with only kruphix's distant guidance and lyn's dead body as she traveled to the spot that she'd be reunited with her and her friends, and never once did she feel in control, because who would in that situation

lyn died because karma couldn't save her, of course she took vigil over her body. of course she carried her for a month straight through dangerous mountains and into a land openly hostile to nyxborn, all because it had a chance to bring lyn back - a chance that had nothing to do with karma, because she wasn't in the underworld with them. of course the girl guided by the god of the boundaries of knowledge, the great cosmic no is going to pledge herself to the ultimate mystery - does this even work?

so when she finally had the opportunity to do her own analysis and claim control of the situation – to use detect thoughts when questioning where orders were coming from, gathering information and knowledge to turn over to the person important to her – she did, purely for the sake of supporting lyn and knowing what she was doing would make a difference in lyn's analysis of the circumstances to come.

she took control to provide relief in the tightness in her chest telling her to crush the tritons before them, daring to question lyn. she's excited to give the information she gleaned to lynneia, when it's just the two of them, to make sure she gets it all across to lyn in the way she deserves. special, just the two of them

once again going feral thinking about fýlakas and makis and time. how fýlakas got puppeted by a dragon called timedrinker. how they barely had any time together, all truth out in the open, before fýlakas got stolen and locked up by returned. how fýlakas rapidly began to turn to stone and the only person who had the ability to change it was makis, and makis, running out of time, had to choose between dianthe and fýlakas as both were statues. how makis had been troo slow, had lost everything before with his whole unit being gored to death by minotaurs. how even though he thought ahead of time, he's still watching his new unit be petrified by gorgons and mauled by lamias. and how the first thing fýlakas does, upon being saved, is run headlong into danger, because they don't have time for this right now.

the 141 taskforce is chosen to have an android replacement after a previous teammate's departure (death or retirement, not sure yet!)

price has worked with androids before as a contracted sort of asset, but not necessarily supervised them

gaz and ghost are open to it, but while gaz considers androids more than the sum of their parts, to ghost, they're a glorified calculator

androids probably played some role in his torture and family's murders but it's not that he considers all androids murderers; just, mindless tools who can't think for themselves, and do their programmer's bidding

john - or 50(AP) "soap" - comes to them with just enough time for a few mishaps around base before he and ghost are deployed together on their first mission

ghost sees first hand just how much soap emotes and already it throws him into a tailspin because. that's not usual
