The system is telling me wherever I am now, it’s apparently the 25th. Of December.
Ferret would probably have roped us into celebrations if he were here.
I’m not a child anymore. But I still feel like one right now.
A very lost one.

Insert loud shrugging about lack of scanners here.

So the systems have no back up common files to pull from. What with it not being connected to the usual network.
Fair enough. Guess it means we work around that. Or start from scratch. Let me see if I can manually dig out the logs or records.
This has always been more of Deer’s thing. Time to find out how much I’ve learned from them.

My systems is complaining about inaccurate algorithms and incomplete data.
Do I really want to know?
To nobody’s surprise. The snow is cold.
It’s also frosting up my legs so I guess I’m going to have to head back in soon before I lose anymore of them.

do you like bear arms????
Well that depends. Do I get to graft them on as my own?

That’s fair. So I guess our timelines must be similar in a sense to have the same language, but at the same different, yours seems to be a lot more far ahead of mine in terms of technology.
So wait you’re in space, but you’re looking for whales? Please don’t tell me there are literal space whales. No wait. Actually. Show pictures. I want to see the space whales.
…and I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that your planet is called Earth too, yet I am. Does it have a city named - I can’t believe I’m blanking on the name of the city I’m living in right now. I guess the lightning-induced neurological damage might still be there. In any case,
Part of it is tech, part of it is the whales and navigators. Which, speaking of, I don’t have any pictures of right now. I might somewhere in the system, but that’s still putting itself back together.
They might still be around. Just not near enough for my admittedly limited sensors at the moment. My ship is basically half buried in the snow under a tree right now. So who knows.
I wouldn’t think too hard about the details. Especially if you can’t recall them. If it’s anything like the universe in which I came from, there’s some reason for it. Which is best not to be prodded at too much.
Think I’m going to just bite down and head out into the cold. Might as well check out what’s out there while waiting.
So I am turning constellations into stuffed animals 💙🐋

Baixiong. I don’t know. Just a white bear that doesn’t seem very white bear.

I see? I don’t actually. What exactly is a Thing? Unless you’re saying the strange commonality between our languages, despite being worlds apart, is a Thing.
That’s troublesome, and sadly I’m not entirely sure how much I could help. We kinda have space travel, but it’s all run by governments for the most part, and it’s extremely uncommon for civilians to go into space. Where did you come from? I’m guessing it’s where spacefaring is common?
A Thing. That’s all I’m saying on that. As for the language front. I don’t think it’s all that surprising. Given the theories of how the multiverse stems from a branching of differences in time. Which implies that there’s at least some sort of shared history across multiple timelines that eventually diverge enough to be unrego-
I’m digressing.
Information is always helpful. The ship will pull itself together eventually. We just don’t know where to go and I can’t find the whales. There’s always plan b.
So near the start of interplanetary travel then. Not sure how to relate or explain ‘where’, but yes. In a manner of speaking. There are the usual risks of any long distance travel, but to put it simply, it’s enough to say I’m from a colony not on Earth.

Bai as in white?? As in <白 >.Or am I looking for commonalities when there are none?
As for worlds, yup, not the planet sort. I was kinda shoved into it given what’s been happening in my life, so I was forced to accept it rather than go through the whole five stages of grief at having my outlook on life being flipped upside-down. I’m still trying to figure out what to do, though you seem to be in more peril than I am right now.
You keep mentioning about a ship? Are you at sea or something?
That’s exactly it actually. Something about white bears. It’s a Thing.
Assumption proven then. You have my condolences, or what I assume is that, while I try to process all this. I know I said it, but it’s still going to take time. It’ll sink in sooner or later.
I’m not so much in peril as much as stranded in an unknown location with a system that’s only slowly rebooting. A single man craft was not design for certain things.
So no, not at sea. Not the water sort anyways. I am dirt side though. At least, I assume I am. I’m guessing space travel is not quite a thing for your yet? I’m definitely not where I came from anymore.

Hello. You’re on a fairly popular blogging network, and I’m Euridice, who is one of many many users without any sort of administrative power whatsoever.
There might be others reading your message; I’m not sure honestly. The system here is a follower to dashboard system, so people have to be following you to see your messages or a tag must be present, which I’m not sure you can do.
I’m a bit of a special case, since my device seems to randomly pick up messages regardless of origin which includes other worlds. Or at least it feels like it. If you don’t believe in such, just take those words as a joke.
Blo- Actually, nevermind. I think I can sort of figure out what that word means. Always been told not to log anything you don’t want anyone finding out anyways. Right. Should introduce myself. Guess you can call me Bai, or Bear. Whichever.
It makes enough sense. Strange signals get picked up often enough with the right sort of equipment. I’m assuming by ‘other worlds’ you don’t mean the planet sort. I can’t say that’s... impossible.
I can’t say that it’s easy to just accept either though.
Might not have a choice but to. Given everything that my systems have been able to find. Wherever it is I am now and whatever it is I’m connected to is at the moment quite limited. My ship and this network of sorts still have yet to learn to play nice.
So that was... something. Now I’m connected to this network with no idea if what it actually is. Here’s hoping it doesn’t frag the system.
Bad practice to send out signals just blindly. But needs be. Don’t suppose anyone out there is reading this message?
