Another reason why I am a Terrible person and how I ruined Soldic
AKA: The reason why soldic is sometimes referred to as Fruit Scones
STORY TIME
Its a fairly simple story, our cast is myself, TF2Maelgwyn, and Silentsolly. Or at least they are the important ones.
To those of you who frequent my blog you already know about Food Porn Friday that I run here, and our story takes place on a non-friday based day.
A group of us were playing tf2 on voice chat having a grand old time killing robots when Mael decided he was hungry. Particularly craving fruit scones at the time. So he asks me, the "Food Porn Lady" to post some fruit scones. Now it being a non-friday based day, refused to post, because that would be breaking the agreement I have with everyone about not posting food porn all the damn time (a reason why fpf was created).
Now mael, being the lovely person that he is, took that as a challenge. And proceeded to bombard my askbox with requests for fruit scones. Here are some of the 20+ that I still have left
and when he hit ask limit
I caved shortly after, and proceeded to go into night blogging insanity with fruit scones.
Now again, to those of you who frequent my blog, I have a rather large affection with Soldier/Medic. And as you can see, mael took advantage of that affection for it.
However as an apology for the bombardment, mael decided to go through the soldic tag and spam my dash with it as a way to sooth my decent into madness
'But tobias' you might be thinking 'where does silent come into all this?'
Well, he's the one who made the connection and had to open his mouth and say 'so wait, does this mean that soldic is now 'fruit scones' as a ship name?'
And its haunted me till this day.
TL;DR - It's an inside joke that got out of hand.
