OK, now that my initial shock of Aemond kissing Alicent has calm down let’s talk afsgdh

I’ve always said in passing as a joke that aemond has a thing for brunettes (sylvie and Alys) because he has mommy issues, but I was not expecting that to be true and now that I’m thinking about it, I can see why he acted like that

You have a boy that grew up bullied by his brothers and his cousins and his dad basically ignored him and it seems like the only person that offered him comfort was his mom (and maybe Halaena?) and then on top of that yknow he really pride himself on his valyrian culture and on top of that incest was a normal thing he grew up around

yeah I know the Targaryens didn’t do parent x child stuff but I feel like you also have to look at this in a psychological pov too 

And idk I just feel like all of those issues plus him being lowkey afraid of the stuff happening in the war and the way Alicent was touching him and manipulating him with her words, just led to him acting on an impulse
