www.tony-evans.com I am currently based in Tokyo, my second home away from home! This is where I have been based for over 8 years and still loving it! Originally from North Wales, I took a great interest in finance from a very young age and since then have never looked back . My way of thinking is when you love what you do, how can you call it work? The following philosophy is the attitude to every aspect of my life: “enjoy what you do as you die once, but you live every day.” I was very fortunate to find a mentor in Alwyn Pritchard a hugely successful entrepreneur in financial services, who took me under his wing and taught me about the business but also how important it was to have an ethos of life, family and religion, for that I will be forever in his debt. After some time in the UK I decided it was time to go and see the world, I was very fortunate to be offered a position with deVere Group in Tokyo. From the moment I landed in Tokyo I fell in love with it, after all what’s not to like about this fantastic city. Here I was fortunate to meet another person who became a mentor to myself Andrew Springthorpe ,8 years working together and we still both alive ! I have witnessed how deVere has grown from a handful of offices(still the largest at that time ) to a company that has over 70 office $9billion under management and keeps growing ! This has all been the vision of Nigel Green who’s vision, passion and skill has made it possible. He is a true inspiration , always willing to listen to ideas and always positive. What a guy . Currently I am Area Manger of Japan for the deVere Group and loving it. 2013 has all the promise of great things , I look forward to it .
One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.

One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.

The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime by MJ DeMarco
If Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki is a drug to get you started on the Personal Finance & Investing space, The Millionaire Fastlane is a drug to get you started on the Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE)movement via Entrepreneurship. Despite the cheesy title, this is not a book explaining the next Ponzi scheme neither a book on how to get-rich-quick easily. This book is about the…
Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.
One of the great quotes I loved by as a #investor #mentor #entrepreneur as this is words by #warrenbuffett , and it’s so true . However #humannature makes it hard for us to do this as our #dna states when things are good enjoy when things are bad protect yourself , with finance it’s the opposite that’s needed as this is where the opportunity is , when the market is down it could be a good chance…
I always been a believer in “gut instinct “ and have done many decisions based on it , trust the feeling about situations , people , opportunity it tells you a lot .
Certain things in life is not to be understood but to embraced
Happenings is the creatures of us .
What we usually forget is that we are NOT the creations of circumstances. The plan that we have followed in our lives that we have believed because of the emotions we’ve attached to them have manifested. Our thoughts and actions become our reality .
One thing that we need is endurance and we not just about taking huge action. If we just take massive action…
The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!”
Happy Monday , love this day as it’s the first day of the week and holds the potential and promise , place a big umph in the start of the week and achieve your goals .
What can one do ?
Do more than just try–try is what children do , achievers delivers Going through the motions and doing the bare minimum isn’t going to…
2020 has actually been the best year of your life so far .
Why ?
We all faced challenge after challenge, but we adapted, we have overcome and become stronger . As the saying goes what doesn’t kill you make you stronger .
2020 has forced us to grow exponentially
And reminded us what’s important to us.
I remember learning this phrase in school “seize the day” , only as you get older you realised how important this is .
It encourages you to focus on the :
-Present
-Appreciate the value of every moment in life
-Avoid postponing things unnecessarily,
As every life eventually comes to an end.
This #covid_19 pandemic has bought this back to our mind ,
When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven’t
What you relies that the human body loves to be challenged physical and mentally . We under perform because we do not know our true potential, we don’t know our potential so pushing ourself is the only way to see . We have self-imposed limits hinder our progress although we like to pin the blame for our shortcomings on everything else.
Raising the bar is a sure way to find out what we are…
May the best of your past be the worst of your future
Truly one of my mantras , was a family saying .
What does it mean ?
Its basically saying that no matter how good today is for you, I hope tomorrow is so much better that the best part of today would be the worst compared to everything else of tomorrow.
Tomorrow hold all the positivity and hope and opportunity so being a a promise I always believe tomorrow be good .
Why Are Greed and Fear Important and How Do Crypto Investors Keep Emotions at Bay?
Mind over matter is a phrase commonly used to describe the psychological power that individuals possess and the ability to control physical conditions and problems using the human mind. In financial markets, the situation is no different. Material prowess means nothing unless you have the sufficient mental power…
For those that knows me this could be a Post with questions , and I tell you why ? Personal health issues had been a issue but know sorted and me relies I can work 16+ hours a day 6/7 days a week and everything that comes with that might be nice It’s not good to have money in the bank if you’re dying of an incurable disease or when you’re constantly working all day to night without a break.
No one expected what this year threw at usb, 2020 didn’t materialize quite how you expected but you survived and there is still time to achieve some of your goals .
We go into survival mode our animal instinct kicks in , this is to feel safe and supported. People cope in different ways, but if your goals for the new year fell away to other priorities or comfort-seeking activities, Good job you…
