One of the most interesting things I noticed on a recent rewatch of Empire Strikes Back is how impulsively Luke reaches for his blaster. When his feelings warn him of the unexpected, he instinctively clings to his weapon - note, however, that in the many times he draws his weapon, he never fires. Even on Bespin, when stormtroopers and Boba Fett are hailing blaster shots at him, he never so much as presses the trigger.
