Nearly a week ago, I heard news that would change me forever. Lee Heeseung of ENHYPEN had left the group, a group I had become very attached to. They were (and still are) my home, who I'd go to when I wasn't feeling my best. Their vocals, dances, and funny moments were all I needed to feel okay in moments where I was stressed out from school and extracurriculars. Heeseung is my bias wrecker, one of the first people I had noticed out of the group. His stunning visuals and vocals are what drew me to him, and without him, the group does not feel complete. That day, I cried and had to take a whole chem test. During that test, all I could think of was Heeseung and what would happen next.
I had been an ENGENE since their Desire: Unleash era, and this news really shocked me. Heeseung? Leaving? His decision? I couldn't believe it. The "handwritten note" sent by BE:LIFT impersonating as Heeseung to fool ENGENEs and say that it was his decision and that he was leaving for a solo career. The closer I looked at the note, the more skeptical I became. That was not his handwritng, and it turned out to be ChatGPT generated crap. Nice going HYBE, expected nothing less from you. Next news I see after I wake up the next few mornings is that Bang Si-Hyuk is supposed to be investigated for fraud and may face life in prison, so he used Heeseung as a sacrifice to distract everyone, that they were supposedly planning this for months but this was sudden, ENGENEs send in protest trucks and signs to HYBE, the disappointment of the Melbourne ENGENEs, and the petition which is ALMOST at 2 million signatures at the time of this writing.
Just when I thought we could be possibly getting back Heeseung, an employee came out and said that they're trying to dismantle the group as a whole. The employee said that they're going for Sunghoon, the visual of the group, with the excuse that "he wants to continue his figure skating activities." Utter bullshit. The seven of them had suffered and gone through so much together, bonded together, and even call each other family. Why would they want to leave? Heeseung was found crashing out and fainting after crying so much after he was kicked out, and now Sunghoon? I don't believe the shit HYBE says anymore. Who's next? Niki or Sunoo are my guesses due to "Niki wanting to be in Japan" and Sunoo being the least voted in I-Land.
I-Land was created around Heeseung since he couldn't debut with TXT, and now he's the first one to leave and now HYBE is dismantling the whole group to label it as a "failure"? BTS won't save you forever. HYBE has caused a suicide, in a lawsuit against its own group, kicked another member from the lawsuit group, and mistreats and abuses their groups. Rookie TXT was abused by staff and the company did not do anything to stop it. Newjeans saying that they're don't get treated well and ILLIT not only being hated for "copying" Newjeans but also mistreated as Iroha cried on a variety show because the staff were so nice. ENHYPEN has been overworked for so long, and even the company admits it, saying that "We won't overwork them anymore." Will you though? Same with LE SSERAFIM, they're being overworked too and Sakura had broke down all simoly because she couldn't nail a dance part. Is this the standard HYBE puts their idols at? Nobody can be like BTS, and BTS is not forever.
With all that being said, I really miss Heeseung. Now that he's reportedly missing and not answering any of the members' calls, I hope he's okay and that he knows we are fighting for him. Bang Si-Hyuk, you're next on my list. If HYBE decides to remove another member, consider the building gone. ENHYPEN will always be 7, forever in my heart. I am so glad I found you all, you guys work so hard for all of us.
