Not to be greedy, but in your bloodborneleon au au, you said chreon are married, yes? And Chris is (so far) fully human, I think. I'd love it if you delved a little into how that marriage is affected by Leon's transformation. Is it weakened or strengthened? Who has the most trouble coming to terms with the cosmic horror of it all? Is sex a thing that's even still on the table? I promise this is not me angling for tentacle sex (unless... lol), I'm just a glutton for angst and relationships navigating the unimaginable.

When Leon first gets back from Yarnham, Chris finds himself struggling between feeling both utterly relieved and horribly concerned. He's ecstatic that Leon is still alive but the state he's in now worries Chris immensely. He thought Leon had simply been mutated into a BOW at first and that maybe Rebecca might be able to create a cure for it with Elpis, but after seeing Leon summon a meteor storm, Chris realizes this is something more than just simply BOW nonsense.

His concerns ease over time though, cause the more Leon interacts and spends time with his friends and family, the more human Leon's mannerism's became. Instead of just saying two stilted words in response, Leon can now answer in full sentences. He even has a better time showing his emotions, smiling and laughing instead of just simply sitting in silence.

In short, Chris is just happy Leon is alive and recovering, and still loves him regardless even if he's part cosmic squid now.

As for Leon case, in Bloodborne the Great ones crave surrogate children, and I think maybe the reason they desire having a family so much is because having infinite cosmic power is actually cold, isolating and lonely? Leon's basically got the same problem, so now being around friends and family for him is like basking in the sun. That's also why he can't help but wrap his tentacles around people, they're just SO WARM. (emotionally and physically)

And for sex...well it's certainly MUCH more interesting now! Ahahah XD Here's Chris experiencing his first 'Cosmic afterglow'

I need more of Claire Redfield being Leon Kennedy's bike mechanic of last resort. Like, he brings her bikes he loves but has destroyed beyond any possible hope of recovery, and she calls him a maniac and a monster who can't be trusted with these beautiful machines, and then a few weeks later he gets the bike back not just fixed but better than it was. And always with a new helmet hanging off the handlebars because WEAR A DAMN HELMET KENNEDY.

Chris Redfield, who has lost too damn many people and has an anxious compulsion to make sure his sleeping loved ones are still breathing, and Leon Kennedy, who crashes hard when he gets actual downtime and may not move or change position all night.

It was almost an argument the first time Chris accidentally woke him up checking his pulse, but his eyes were so sad and sheepish and apologetic, and he was RIGHT THERE, crouched next to the bed, so Leon just reeled him in and went right back to sleep with Chris half on top of him, where he could feel Leon warm and breathing and alive as much as he needed.

I firmly believe this happened before they even knew (or admitted to themselves) they had romantic feelings for each other.

I caved and got a copy of Tomodachi Life. RE9 Leon (whose first little quirk is terrible posture, of course, REALISM) and RE8 Chris immediately became good friends bonding over their preference for a small B.O.W. I am delighted. I am charmed and delighted.

Random personal Chreon head canon of the day (YMMV): I don't think Rose calls Chris or Leon any version of dad, not because they don't love her like their own, but because Chris feels so much respect for and guilt about Ethan, being called dad by Ethan's daughter would feel like a usurpation to him, even a betrayal. I think part of her resentment of Chris in the DLC comes from his obvious... what word am I looking for? Ambivalence? About his role in her life? That sounds more unfeeling than I mean it. But he's just Chris to her, and Leon follows that lead and is just Leon, or maybe Lee because that was easier when she was learning to talk.

It helps that anytime I try to give a fictional toddler a voice in my head it defaults to how my eldest niece pronounced things when she was tiny, and itty bitty Rose calling them Kiss and Yee is so cute I'm gonna DIE.

Just thinking about how so many of Leon's cheesy jokes are for his own benefit, to fill the silence of working alone, and I wonder how often he mumbles something when he actually has a partner or is escorting someone, forgetting he isn't alone, and their laugh or groan legitimately startles him for a second.

When some of y'all talk about Leon Kennedy, the urge is strong to point out that 49 isn't nearly as old as you seem to think it is, but also, this specific 49 year old can definitely tell you when it's going to rain based on how much he aches, so I guess it balances.

Probably my most random RE head canon is that Leon is incredibly good at Just Dance. He's got great coordination, flexibility and pattern recognition, and he is not above being silly as hell to make one of his kids (or their kids) laugh, so he just needs to see the coach perform a move once and he can replicate it perfectly.

Chris ... does not share this gift, bless him. But he loves his husband and their family so much (and alcohol exists), so he has been known to try during get-togethers. He may end up on the floor, but he gets Leon smooches afterward so he's good.

Chris "Resting Alpha Face" Redfield, who is actually made of marshmallow and cuddles under the years of accumulated stress and gruffness, i love him so much, and he's such a good match for Leon S ("Stupid Dad Jokes") Kennedy, who has been more privately Really Not Okay since the late 90s, but also appreciates the hell out of a good cuddle, and just the thought of the two of them fast asleep in a therapeutic puppy pile makes me smile so hard.

I do love putting a fictional man in a Situation, but sometimes, friends... just sometimes...

Leon and Chris both have their submissive sides, things they like to do that aren't necessarily sexual (but can be), just "today was bad, I need to turn off my brain for a while, please help me with that."

Leon's is a collar. Groundbreaking, I know, first in the fandom to figure that one out lol. But that's the permission Leon needs to simply do as he's told and not have to think or have any responsibility or guilt for a while. Just exist. From what to eat to where to put his body, he receives a directive, performs it, is told what a good boy he is, rinse, repeat.

Chris' is using Leon as a weighted blanket. Full weight across his chest, up to basically kneeling on him if he needs it bad enough, on the floor or another hard surface if it was a BAD bad day. This isn't the only reason Leon has bulked up as he gets older, but the added solid weight is a happy side effect. Leon might scratch his fingers across Chris' scalp, something repetitive and grounding, but otherwise, blanket duty.

Because I do love a good size difference, I've decided that to go along with my head canon that Leon's various viral and parasitic infections have given him extra durability to survive getting thrown into various objects and surfaces ten times a day (on average), Chris' own version of that has made him grow considerably taller and broader. Like, he still tells people he's 6'2", because that's what he was for so long and the change has been gradual, but now he's closer to 6'8" and his hands are the size of dinner plates.

Also, that makes the idea that Elpis could take those enhancements away like ten times funnier.
