about your rules what is gaslighting and metagaming

GASLIGHTING  is the act of manipulating someone through warping their understanding to then keep them ‘docile’ or too anxious to speak up. like imagine you’re with someone who is doing something awful  ( whether to you or someone/something else )  and when shit hits the fan they word things in a way to make you second guess yourself, even if you truly know right from wrong. manipulators are scarily good at keeping their victims quiet.

METAGAMING  is sort of like godmodding in another light. metagaming is using information  YOU  learn outside of the characters developing as people do, in order to mold the writing experience in  YOUR  favor. this is problematic because it ruptures the natural flow of muses growing together, since your character shouldn’t know certain things yet since they’ve yet to properly learn.

if these are hard to understand feel free to shoot me more questions!  it’s almost 2am, i just got back from seeing the sonic movie, so i’m pretty tired!
