i’ll be honest, kris could lose their hand in the following chapters of deltarune… but i think a lot of the severed hand stuff is less meant to be taken literally, and more a way of representing how kris’ agency is taken from them.

to me, the severed hand imagery represents how the soul controls kris’ actions in a way completely disconnected from the will of the vessel (kris).

losing the hand out of all body parts specifically reads as symbolic to how the soul has stolen control from kris, and commands them using their own body against them.

(++ when we don’t control the hand, is also when kris removes us (the soul) from their body. for a while they regain control and immediately eject us lmao)
