Rome, 2017 - Finally finished scanning negs. Working on major updates to Scenic View and hopefully a book at some point :)
Installation views of “Disinter” at Skylab Gallery
Works By: Eva O’Leary, Ian Lewandowski, Molly Matalon, Nakeya Brown, Thomas Dziedzic, Farah Al Qasimi, Caroline Tompkins, Damien Maloney & Evan M. Ortiz
The ambiguity of portraiture is photography’s greatest weakness, and simultaneously its greatest strength. Incapable of expressing all of the complexities of a person, portraiture gives us few concrete facts. Each artist in Disinter brings forward fragments of their own identities and the identities of their subjects, inviting viewers to engage and reflect on their own experiences. Identities are in a constant state of becoming. The artists in Disinter capture pieces of them; not the beginning or end, but somewhere in between.
Curated by Tom Hoying and Caroline Tompkins

do you work better when you're angry or when you're happy
The same. I work best when I’m terrified.
