I am making a field for planting potatoes, where I am using hoe to make the field more fertile and better. This traditional tool or hoe is known in Nepali language as Chadhe, which is used to dig the field mostly in Nepal.
Sherpa family brother and sister team hard at work with the chadhe excavation/tilling hand tool at Nepal rural farm. A splendid insight to rural Nepali culture.
Saxifraga oppositifolia (Purple Saxifrage), a great favourite of mine. Partly due to it’s early season flowering status in our upland habitats and hills, generally the first montane angiosperm to flower in the British Isles. Your Mom taught you well Datengi, what an amazing Sherpa family you are. I am so honoured to be a family friend.
Preparing fields for planting potatoes( tatties) in first day. I am spreading cow dung in the field. This is a bit difficult to do with bare hands.
You have your cows well trained to strategically drop their pats well spaced in the target Potato field lol. For goodness sake mind and wash your hands ... and feet !!! He he you are doing a grand job Datengi, I love it.
The two Scottish RAF MR teams of the time meet up for a joint training exercise; good buddies most of the time although stiff competition was the rule of thumb lol.
