One thing I've learned in my career as a gay and that I wish I knew before coming out is that you never stop coming out. It's never a one time thing you just get over with. You don't just go "I'm gay" and that's the end of it. It's something you just never stop doing and that eventually leads to all sorts of reactions. Being ready to come out isn't just for the one time you tell your friends. It's also the time you turn down a stranger of your non preferred gender who's hitting on you. Or when a family member mentions your future spouse with inaccurate pronouns. Coming out only ever starts- it doesn't end. You don't just come out, you only start coming out.

Hi everyone! It's that time of the year, where I am put to the task of helping my  beloved 93 y/o Grandma purchase birthday and holiday cards for her entire family. And I mean entire. It's big. Usually she is able to send me the money every year, but due to covid-19 and health issues, she's under financial stress. And so am I, since I'm disabled and am struggling with financial issues (I'm 100% broke). The cards usually total up between $150-$200. So that's a problem. 

This is like... the most important thing to her in the whole year. If she doesn't have the cards, it'd probably break her heart. I'm guessing since I've never failed her, but I know it's a huge deal to her and I would feel absolutely devastated if I didn't get it done. She has called me several times the past 2 weeks and I keep promising her that I will figure it out. It just...has to happen. 

Especially because I'm really scared this will be her last Christmas with us. She's 93 and has suffered 2 strokes, and sadly she's also talking about suicide a lot. I love her so much. So much. I can't lose her to that. But I may lose her anyway to old age. I need to make this year special, and not a disappointment. She picked me to carry this responsibility, out of a ton of kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. And I have no way of finding the money. 

Please, if you have anything to spare, it would mean so much to me, and the world to my Grandma, if you could donate. I pray this campaign will not be ignored. I need help. I can't tell her that I can't help her. For Christmas, all I want is to be able to send her cards to her. Thank you for reading.
