Granted, they didn’t exactly have a chance of “winning”, but we didn’t exactly “win” either.

I get that he’s just pointing out the power difference. He’s not literally saying “we’re going to nuke gun owners”, but he IS a representative in government implying that the government’s use of nuclear weapons against their own people is an option. Which should never ever even be implied. The exact opposite stance should be the only acceptable one. Nuclear weapons shouldn’t even be considered an option against anyone anymore, short of a serious global threat.
