Being a Tony stan post Endgame means going about your day doing normal things and getting overwhelmed with emotions when your mind suddenly drifts to that look he gave Pepper in the end — the pain in his eyes, the regret behind that smile, the one that silently apologised because he wouldn’t be able to follow her home to their daughter, but at the same time that subtle glimpse of content on his face, at peace with the knowledge that Thanos, his worst nightmare, was gone for good. I think about this a lot.
