I think it’s really sad you don’t see the harm in what you’re doing. Because clearly, the only thing you care about is getting what you want no matter the cost. As if you using in game assets is any better. I have had the privilege to actually go to Guerrilla with fellow fan artists and meet some of the devs. Devs who literally cried when we told them how much this fandom supports them bc of all the shit they deal with between mass layoffs, entitled “fans,” and monumental production pressure we probably can’t even fathom.

You are insulting everything they have given to create this beautiful franchise. The very message baked into its core. You are not honoring anything. Call me a bully if you want, but I am not going to be quiet when I have seen how stuff like this affects people deeply.

And don’t worry about the comms, I would’ve rejected yours the moment I would’ve seen your name in my inbox. And good luck getting any other artist here to take a comm from you too.

Well, it seems I have reached a new badge of honor by having my art fed into the ai slop machine bc somebody was butthurt about my anti ai post. There is a word for people like this: pathetic.

So! Congrats you are now going to be put on blast for all to see and block now. Cry and whine all you want. You just fucked around and now you’re about to find out.

This is disgusting. It's not a joke. We artists are not a joke.

These slop creators can’t understand how much it hurts to see your art stolen and modified as if it meant nothing. They can’t because they’ve never -and never will- put the effort it takes to create something made by themselves, thanks to their own skills and knowledge. Feeding AI with someone’s art, obviously without permission, is not only disrespectful to their art, but to them as a person.

We don't just do art, we are artists. This rips off a part of the artist themselves.

We shouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior. Yes, unfortunately, those tools exist, but we are the ones choosing to use them or not, and how to do so. This should matter, and actions should have consequences.

If you agree, report and block these AI slop creators. You don't want someone like that around you, stealing your creations.

A few things.

This is despicable and pathetic. The user came to the attention of us Horizon fanartists over tagging an image (because I won't call that "art") as "since they can't draw, ai art will have to do". Art is a honed skill, a labour of love and creativity, that you pour your heart into and find joy in having made your imagination reality. It's not a matter of "I can't, full stop", you just haven't given it enough time and patience to even grow as a skill. It took us years to get to where we are, at each of our individual art journeys.

And if it still doesn't come easy to you? Support artists! Commission them! Build a community, and respect the creative arts. Prompting genAI images? Makes you a thief, plain and simple. You're stealing from the very people that create the art you get to view for free. GenAI is a cancerous, insidious thing and has no place in fandom and anywhere else.

Another thing, same user within the time this transpired:

"It's extremely annoying to see myself blocked from seeing content I enjoy and would like to engage with."

There is no "rude" or "polite" nature to muting and blocking. Muting and blocking are social media moderation tools, to be used at the discretion of every user and boy would we benefit from people making more generous usage.

A block is a boundary, made and set.

Artists are not a commodity. We do not owe you our art. And being so offended by artists gating off a known genAI prompter, that you turn around and spit in their face by feeding their handmade art into the slop machine to flip them off?

Get over yourself. Pick up a pencil instead.

This is so abhorrent and disrespectful that this happened. Us artists work *hard* to create something. We spend hours, sometimes days, over pieces, getting lines right, doing the anatomy, color matching and having to crash course through color theory, just to complete a piece like that AI slop. We pour our hearts in creating things. Its why, even if the art isnt "that good", it has *life* it has *feeling*.

Art us something you *create*. Using your imagination and picturing how something goes and then *making* it. Do I consider myself a great artist? Hell no, but i have grown. I have worked and labored over a screen, over a piece of paper, just to make something. Some people rarely draw and it comes out looking like a kid drew it, but I would rather have that over AI compliance *any day of the week*. I would do the thing parents do and stick it to the fridge because we *all* started like that.

So, you can't draw like Kelso, or like Nerd, or like Steel, or like any other notable artist there is, regardless of if you're in the Horizon Fandom or not. So what. No one draws the same. We all have our own beautiful, amazing, stunning style. We all grow and develop our own takes and twists, and it is *beautiful*. It will *always* beat AI. If im considered a gatekeeper for not wanting to see or be involved in AI, then so be it.

I would rather be seen as an enemy to anyone who thinks this is okay then to feed a fucked up ego that this is fine to do. And if *anyone* who sees this disagrees; thinks its okay and that AI should be allowed? Get the fuck off my page. The door is right there and it'd be best if you showed yourself out.

Freja gets in the habit of carrying extra hair ties around and tying back Emre's hair whenever it gets in his way. Because it's so long now. He's still not used it. And Freja can see the way he squints and shoves his hair behind his ears whenever he has to look down at something for a long period of time so she just walks up and ties his hair for him without interrupting whatever he's doing. The soft murmur of his thanks is all the reward she needs.

Except one time, when they're on a mission together, the kind where Freja knows not to ask him any questions because of the blank look in his eyes. She sees him standing over a keyboard and the hair is falling into his face and before she can even think, she's got his hair in her hands, looping it into a hair tie.

She dodges the incoming blow, and can't make out the buzzing Finnish that follows. Emre's blank eyes glare at her, and the screen on his chest fizzles angry static. She does not move. She waits, and eventually it turns around again. Continues looking down at the keyboard. Unhindered, now, with the hair out of its eyes.

"Better with your hair out of your face, isn't it?" She asks it.

It does not reply.
