Every week, I state that I love Our Dining Table.

But I don't think you understand that I love this show.

If this show was a person, it would have been love at first sight. I would have been smitten by episode two, and by episode four, I would have devoted by entire life to this person.

Minoru knows that Yutaka is upset and approaches the subject with the same level of gentleness he reserves for his little brother. He asks but never pushes.

He realizes Yutaka doesn't want to discuss it, but still worries about Yutaka. Even though Yutaka is masking in front of Tane, Minoru continues to check in on Yutaka.

The dad realizes Yutaka is hurting, so he verbalizes that Yutaka is family and always welcomed. He asks Minoru if Yutaka is okay. He checks in.

The dad is aware of the ways their hearts are opening to each other, but it seems that these feelings have snuck up on Minoru and Yutaka, yet they aren't shying away from them. They are comfortable with each other. They find comfort in each other.

Life was bearable before when both felt alone, but now that they have made space for each other, life would be unbearable without the other.

That's love.
