#never felt this way again
Angel + Buffy's name being the first thing he calls out while he's losing his soul, when he gets his soul back, when he's delirious and dying, and after 100 years in hell.
Requested by @ceciliastark
Buffy: It's so weird. Every time something like this happens, my first instinct is still to run to Angel. I can't believe it's the same person. He's completely different from the guy that I knew. Willow: Well, sort of, except… Buffy: Except what? Willow: You're still the only thing he thinks about.

I love how literally every character who ever sees Buffy and Angel interact is immediately Cursed with the knowledge that they are soulmates who will never be over each other. Almost no one is happy about it and a lot of them would do almost anything for it to not be true but it just... is. It's so obviously, overwhelmingly true that denying it would just feel too ridiculous even to characters with a vested interest in believing otherwise-- like every single one of their other love interests. It's honestly so funny, especially when there's a mix of characters who Know and characters who Don't (even if it's been explained to them, the never really Know until they witness it), because there's this gigantic, awkward, tragic, deeply inconvenient elephant in every room that only some of them can see.

"When he bites her and she's writhing on the floor, in her full orgasm she breaks the table. They missed it. The most erotic thing I've ever seen on TV and the censors missed it completely."

"Last year, with Angel and the heartbreak, I would go home and cry. My body couldn't work properly. I don't take the demons home with me, but I do take Buffy's pain. The vampires I'm immune to, but not the emotion. When we filmed the episode where Angel breaks up with her, I cried for twenty-five minutes. I thought I was having a breakdown. They had to shut down the set. When they say 'rip your heart out,' that's really what unfulfilled love does. I have felt a love as strong as Angel. On Buffy, I felt almost everything she's experienced before. If you haven't loved someone like that, I don't know how you could portray it." - Sarah Michelle Gellar (x)

I would have given up everything I had to be with...
Buffy & Angel ♡ 3.08 Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997-2003)
Every now and then when I rewatch Buffy, one of my most favourite thing to do is to reanalyse Bangel scenes frame by frame. More often than not, I find new angles or new meanings that I've missed despite the 982762836595th time watching it. Today, I found these from Amends. This is one of my favourite episodes and I love that it's the first time (perhaps only time?) we actually see them do the deed. It was a lusty and beautiful scene but it also made me wonder if only there was no curse and they could fulfill their sexual desires..oh what a treat that would be!..
The way his fingers tangled deep into her hair while drawing her body tight against his..the way his arm locked around her waist, crushing the distance between them. You can feel his hunger for her in that kiss—she eventually has to break away just to catch her breath, while Angel, needing none, instantly claims the curve of her jaw. Their passion translates so perfectly in this scene; the intimacy is just on another level. Unmatched!
