Overheard Ramblings

Working a packed bar is always tough to do but a good chance at raking in some extra cash, as the waiter in this tale was planning to do. Noticing a large group forming around one of the tables they peg it as a chance at some easy extra coin and made their way over to it to snag it before another server could. A snatch of conversation heard while approaching slows their step though. It seems like some furred mountain was down in his cups and talking as if he hadn’t noticed the crowd growing around him. Though the waiter just couldn’t help themselves from listening in at this snatch of story, grim as it seems to be. “...we were on day three o’ our forced march..” His gravely voice rumbled far louder than this furred mountain intended as he seemed to stage whisper. “Exhaustion was taken’ us down easier than they were. Huddled around a fireless camp we were tuckin’ into a bit o’ cold salt meat and biscuits harder’n stones.. We’d been on the run for too long and just couldn’ hold out any longer, we had t’ stop.” Whiskey’s muzzle seemed to dip into his mug even as he lifted that tankard upwards to meet it to guzzle down another mouthful of that liquid band-aid. “I remember sittin’ there on a rottin’ log with the stench o’ fear in the air and naught else. We were all on edge but seemed to be home free... I remember how quite it was right a’fore they attacked. It was as if all teh movement in the worl’ had stopped. Er’ry sound fled the night right before that first thwang o’ bow string. Ilms. That was all’o the difference ‘tween the arrow meant for me and tha’ poor lass polishin’ her sword... I’ll ne’er forget the dumb look on Skaenrael’s face as that bolt tip emerged from ‘er throat. That whetstone took hours to hit the ground after she dropped it...” At that point the conversation was lost to our waiter as someone grabbed their arm shouting about another round of ale.

Something, something, dummy thicc. Or whatever the joke was. Totally not a canon outfit for Whiskey at all, mostly because of the feet, though it makes me want to possibly try and work it into a tank glamor alternate than his usual one. In other news, my new PC arrived today and I’m extremely happy with it! If anyone has any tips for setting up decent screen shot mods or something feel free to poke~!
