Suggested Build: Tribal Treefolk / Golgari toughness Where to Find Cards: Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block, Core sets, Khans of Tarkir, How to Win: Treefolk are notoriously known for having high toughness, and no better way to abuse that then by using the bonus from cards like Assault Formation or Doran (which makes that plan more viable). The great part about Sapling is the card advantage and life advantage. When it attacks you’ll be likely to gain a future creature AND come out ahead on life.

Budget Combo of the Day: Vanish into Memory & Ulamog’s Reclaimer

With the full spoiler out and pre-release happening this weekend, we’ll take this week to talk about some combos in battle for zendikar!

Ideally, when you cast vanish into memory, you want to discard as few cards as possible. While high power low toughness creatures are fine - why don’t we just keep the creature from coming back? If a creature doesn’t return, for any reason, you’re off the hook to pay it back. If you use ulamog’s reclaimer to move the creature to the graveyard, you’ll keep your cards, and can get back another card - vanish into memory, or anything else you may need!

You can do this with other slow flicker effects, or use the other eldrazi processors to pull exiled cards to this end. Pull from eternity works similarly.
