Toby snorts in amusement. “What a rebel.” She waves a hand to indicate for Lapis to go ahead as she finishes off her drink. It did help warm her up some, though she’d certainly be dropping by her dorm to change.
Toby shrugs, still grinning. “Don’t care. Deal?” She lifts one wet hand from the pool to offer to her, a lazy smirk on her lips. She seems pretty confident for someone going up against a swimming legend.
Lapis might have been more annoyed if she wasn’t as comfortable in her abilities as she was. Instead, she lifted her hand out of the water to take the hand. “You realize I’m here on a swimming scholarship, right?”
Toby just laughs. “I’ve already accepted my fate of being a living connect the dots activity book.” She braces her legs up against the edge of the pool to prepare to shoot off. “Other side and back?”
Lapis hummed a little at the premature admit of defeat, seeming fond of the idea of winning. She moves easily to the edge a space away from her to allow her some room.
“There and back.” She confirmed with a short nod of her head. “Care to count us down, my craft project?”
Toby grins and counts, shooting off at the word go. Though it may not be enough to best Lapis, she purposely swam slower than she could prior to their bet in an effort to lower her guard. And by god, she gives this short little race her all.

Toby wiggles her brow again. “Yeah. I think it’s the view.” she makes a pointed look at the other girl’s chest before snickering to herself and pushing off from the wall, swimming laps. Though not swim team material or particularly fast, she’s a strong swimmer.
Lapis groans, but doesn’t comment beyond that. That would only welcome the potential of more. Instead, she focuses on watching her swim for a bit. She has a critical eye, but despite that knows better than to insult somebody for something more of a hobby. Not like her, it wasn’t a way of life. A life pushed on her since before she could walk.
“Not bad.” She commented before slipping herself down into the water as well. “If you weren’t all busted up, I’d offer to race you.” Though she was confident enough in a win even if she was in perfect health.
Toby grins, swimming up to her. “Aw cmon, I’m hardly busted up. I can go back to total normal in two more days. Race me!” she declares, a doofy grin on her freckled face. Though she expects to lose, she welcomes the challenge anyways.
A proud huff came in response, her face fixing I to an equally confident smirk. Even if she probably should have eaten something more than coffee before straining herself. “And what do I get if I win?”
Toby shrugs. “I dunno. What do you want?” She’s letting her set the parameters for the bet. After all, Lapis will most likely win anyways.
“If I win…” She began slowly, trailing a bit in thought before it came to her. Her smile that followed seemed almost childlike. “You have to let me play connect the dots on your back.”
Toby rolls her eyes. Really? She shakes her head with a laugh. "Sure, whatever. But if I win..." a devious grin plays at her lips. "You kiss me like you mean it. Deal?"

Like magic words her attention is caught. Picking up chicks sounds very nice. “Oh thank god, sign me up. I haven’t fucked in a month.” She says this the same way someone might announce they’re seriously ill, or that their dog died.
This seems to make Lapis laugh a little. Less out of pity for the length of time, but more at how quickly her attention was averted. “Yeah, well somebody sent my only fuck to jail so I’ll be there soon, I’m sure.”
Toby wrinkles her nose a bit. “Oh come on, you’ll fuck Jasper and not me?” She sounds a bit offended, but goes back to joking with ease. “And for the record I did not send her to jail. The school suspended her.” Toby grins suddenly, waggling her brow. “You know I’d be happy to replace her~~”
Lapis gave a quick huff in dismissal at the proposal, quick to shoot down the very thought. Her eyes quickly shot into a glare over at her for the suggestion. “Of course I fucked Jasper. One of her hands is big enough to wrap around my entire neck, I’d be an idiot not to.”
Toby can’t help but laugh at that. Figures. “Okay, fair enough. Choking kink, huh? Why am I not surprised.” she rolls her eyes but smiles nonetheless. Soon they arrive in the building with the pool. Predictably it’s completely abandoned, and Toby starts shedding layers.
Lapis kept quiet on her sexual preferences. That was the tip of an iceberg she didn’t have time to explain.
The building was all too familiar to her. The smell of the chlorine caused her to exhale a little slower, perhaps a bit calmer now. Such a complicated relationship with the element as she glanced over before following suit. Stripping down to her predictably dark bra and panties. All her clothing was quickly tossed aside with the exception of the hideous sweater that managed to get a lazy folding job.
Toby doesn't bother keeping her shirt on, going for her trunks only. She jumps right into the pool with a chaotic splash, leaving her clothing in a crumpled heap. When she returns to the surface she shakes her hair like a dog.

Toby grins at her over her shoulder. “I hear skinny dipping is good for the soul.” She winks, pulling her pants back on over the shorts. “We could swing by your dorm, or you could and meet me there. She shrugs, raising an amused brow. “Like what ya see?”
Lapis didn’t seem particularly upset at being caught. In fact, when her eyes did lift back up to her face, she looked relatively placid despite rather poetic words. “You look like you’re covered in stars.”
Toby makes a choked noise, flushing red and turning her face away. She’s used to being teased for her freckles. No ones ever compared them to stars before, and it catches her off guard. “Uh- thanks.”
Lapis wasn’t terribly surprised by the awkward response. She was used to her sincerity confusing people. She simply nods instead before lifting to her bare feet. “I guess I’ll go, but only because I managed to wear panties for once.”
Toby snorts at that. “What, you usually go commando?” She asks, pulling on winter apparel. The pool is indoors but getting there will be chilly. Thankfully, she doubts anyone else will be there due to the weather. That means she can get away with not wearing a shirt. She looked like a boy from a distance anyways.
The barista bent down, tugging her socks and shoes back on. Still clad in the tacky sweater she now adored so much. “Yeah, don’t really see a point.” She admitted, her bland tone making it clear she didn’t see it in any sort of sexual fashion. “Too much laundry.”
Toby shrugs. “I guess you have a point. I used to always do that too until I discovered boxer briefs. I can’t remember the last time I bought something in the girls section.” She holds open the door for her. “Honestly I should probably just call myself a boy. Since you can pick now….then again, then I wouldn’t be allowed in nude women’s spas. Can’t have that.” she winks.
Lapis frowned rather hard at the idea, clearly not quite on the same page. She slipped through the door upon it being held, crossing her arms once again to hold in warmth.
“You’re lucky you’re cute because you’re really dumb sometimes.”
Toby blinks at her. “What? I mean, everybody thinks I’m a guy anyways.” she shrugs, locking the dorm door. “I look like a dude, act like a dude.” She starts on her way down. The way she speaks is nonchalant.
Lapis felt as though her blue eyes might just roll to the back of her skull. She turned rather sharply to the casual stroll of the other. Despite being a bit smaller than the other, she was quick to corner the other against the dormitory door with her arm preventing her from walking away.
Her tone seemed as clear as her movements as she stared up. “Do you think you’re a dude?”
Toby is a bit surprised, but halts. How did she piss Lapis off this time? “Uh….no?” She replies with a raise of her brow. Realistically she could easily push Lapis away if she wanted to, but she obediently stays put.
"Then who gives a fuck what other people think?” She ask with a little shake of her head. It seemed that the little water aficionado was just a bit intense by nature. Lapis let up on the wall and continued walking, “You could seriously benefit from a gender studies class, you know?”
That was...unexpected. "Uh...okay." Is all she manages to say at first. Lapis having her up against a wall was kinda hot. She collects herself and follows after her. "Maybe I'll sign up for one next quarter. I always thought it was just a fluff class."
Toby snorts in amusement. “What a rebel.” She waves a hand to indicate for Lapis to go ahead as she finishes off her drink. It did help warm her up some, though she’d certainly be dropping by her dorm to change.
