capitalism in and of itself is inherently ableist. if society and status is made up of what a person can contribute to society, and the value of a person is built around the amount of labor you can do there are going to be people who cannot do those things, whether that be because of physical disability or mental disability or illness, and that will always put them at an unfair disadvantage due to something they cannot control.
