On a Easter morning of April 9th 1917, all four Canadian divisions would start the battle of Vimy Ridge. A ridge which the Britain and France had failed to take years prior to 1917. Despite fierce batting that lasted for 3 days, it ended in Canadian victory! A victory that said to be the moment Canada was seen as a nation. Such a battle came at a heavy cost, around 10,600 Canadians casualties occurred with 3,598 dead. Regardless of who was on who side, their lives and cost of it all should never be forgotten.

Went for a stain glass look this year, I’m unsure if I prefer the more vibrant colours or the dull colours. Regardless I’m happy with the results.

Happy Chinese/Lunar New year!

Drawing from last night that I got around to finishing. These are ocs that I made back when I was rereading the book of Daniel for a class. Guy in the back is the king of Babylon, and despite all his power, one of his weaknesses is that he's borderline illiterate. Can't really read or write that well on his own, so he usually has servants do it for him--hence our unhappy sap in the front.

He was taken from a neighboring territory and spared from the life of a prisoner since he had the skills to read and write, though he thinks that he's going to be killed once he's no longer useful or makes a mistake.

Today is Appreciate a Dragon Day/Dragon Appreciation Day! I gotta keep up with the tradition of drawing Willis and Y Ddraig Goch (Welsh dragon) especially given the tale of Y Ddraig Goch it important part of Willis story but that for a another day to explain :)

Did some drawing practice with focus on colour, background, perspective and poses and I honestly like it very much

That's one of my Star Wars OCs btw. His name is Aramis Rowan and he actually got a ton of lore going on but basically what you need to know is he was the only survivor of a pirate attack and was found and rescued by an imperial patrol. He can't remember anything from before the attack and barely anything that happened during the fight and due to the brain damage he suffered he had to relearn writing, reading and his whole coordination was badly screwed up for a long while. Because of the pirate incident he swears to himself that he'll protect others from suffering the same way and works hard on becoming and imperial officer and many years after he was rescued he actually manages to become an ensign of the imperial navy. Rowan was used for a bunch of undercover missions since everything about his looks does not seem like he's a soldier and his way of talking and acting doesn't either (it's not hard for him to act like a shy gentle softie with puppy eyes and not an officer) Although he always disliked the HUGE amounts of hate against alien races that's present in the empire, Rowan tried to ignore it since he deemed his task of protecting others more important. But after seeing worlds being destroyed for the empire's gain and ppl being enslaved or sent to labour camps he realises that he is now part of causing suffering and not ending it at all. He continues to try and push it away for a while, turns to drinking and drugs until one day it's enough for him, he copies a bunch of secret information on a data stick and fakes his death on patrol (his reasons for that and a lot of his denial is cuz he's got a massive crush on one of his superior officers and some sort of friendship with benefits with him and doesn't wanna hurt his feelings by being a traitor). He then joins some rebels and after some thorough and looong questioning he's deemed as useful and probably not a spy and from then on lil fella is officially a rebel and later on he's trusted enough to do some intelligence work and also help with spaceship repairs

First art of the year and we start it off with the moment Baron almost dies :)).

Fallen Wings has been on my mind a lot lately as I work on Broken wings and it’s been ages since I last drew Baron younger brother, Ryan and thus this art came to be. Maybe one day I will redo Fallen Wings it outdated but it still holds a special place in my heart for being my first complete webcomic.
