Abigail is the byproduct of what happens when you mix lower class living with a war-time quota to fill, a victim of a system that gave her nothing from birth and only continued to take. But when the war came calling, she was quick to sign up, having so few prospects and barely living before enlisting in a life of service. She was the most willing participant and the draft office. While others lose themselves completely in combat, it’s her calling, a thing to do, and the thing she does best. Despite this, a model soldier she is not, and her headstrong, reckless personality often clashes with the rest of the platoon.

Norman is a hardworking if not to a nauseous degree, by the books.

As appointed by his own father to monitor the High Commander, and report back him with all that he has done that day, Norman rebels in smalls ways by maintaining a false sense of loyalty to his father, whilst working as a glorified runner in the wartime office environment.

While his job entails a relative degree of sanctuary from grittier army jobs, his days are often monotonous, but he'll take that over the front lines.

His Commander, Troren, is cold and the very sound of his boots on the hardwood in the hallway make Norman scurry, but they overall have a friendly relationship, and Troren feels endlessly sympathetic to Norman, both for his unfortunate lottery win having been born into the family he has, and that someone so young got roped into such dirty work.

When no eyes peer in, the two enjoy either silent company or casual jabber, in a way you'd talk to your gruff and grumpy grandfather.
