I previously mentioned that someone stole parts of my story and posted it as their own. When I confronted them, they admitted to doing it, apologized and said they would remove the stolen parts. I was fine with that.
A week passed and they didnāt do this. I messaged them again and they have not answered so I filed a complaint with tumblr. After some back and forth, today I checked my email and they said that after reviewing the content, tumblr will not be taking any action against the post.
Iām livid and I donāt know what to do. Obviously the system in place doesnāt work. Until this is handled, I will no longer be posting any writing. This includes the oneshot I was going to post this weekend for my birthday. If tumblr is not going to protect its writers, Iām no longer comfortable with publishing my fics. Not here or anywhere.
The user that stole my work is @/jjkthclub and the fic is Mr. Right (Swipe) which has portions of my fic Small Doses. Itās the pinned post on their blog. Here is the screenshot of our conversation where they admitted to the plagiarism:
I sent tumblr support another email about this asking what am I supposed to do at this point but who knows. Iām just really pissed. I was the bigger person in this scenario and it bit me in the ass. I donāt want to post writing ever again if thereās literally no repercussions for it being stolen and I was so excited to post the Jaehyun fic and first part to the new story.
