Waluigi has been confirmed as a Pokémon trainer. He has no Pokémon. He just beats the shit out of yours with a tennis racket. Every move is not very effective against Waluigi. This is a very post game trainer.

In your room, there is a book titled “Fine Literature”. Upon reading it, you are greeted with a parody of the first few lines of the Bee Movie Script, after which your mother will come in and toss the book into the fireplace.

At the GAME FREAK office, you can run into a purely white Yamper. Depending on your progress in the game, it will have different dialogue to say:

Before beating the game:

“Yam yamper! (Hello, stranger! You’re visiting the studio as well? I have some arrangements to eat sukiyaki with some of the folks here in a bit, so please don’t take too long.)“

After beating the game:

“Yamper yam yam! (We meet again, stranger! Guess what? After we had some sukiyaki, we went to a café and I asked if I could make a track for this game, and they said yes! Stranger, have you listened to it yet?)“

When an egg hatches, instead of “Oh...?”, you get a message saying “Oh? Worm?”

One of our leakers report that the credits theme for the game has lyrics. Though they didn’t record it at the time, they are currently restarting the game to record the audio, since they are inexperienced at ripping.

It appears that the vocals are done by Laura Shigihara.

When you start the game, you have to record your voice. This recording is used as Mr. Mime’s cry.

Gyms are now permanently being replaced with Trials, and instead of fighting Totem Pokemon at the end, you fight Dynamax/Gigantamax Pokemon instead. You don’t get anything special at the end.
