Tony Stark x Plus-Size Reader
Some people find it difficult to be around him because of his constant whirlwind personality. But he knows how to push peopleās buttons because he understands them, and any jibes he threw your way would definitely be endearing. By design. All youād have to do is let him know that you knew that, and heād be putty in your hands.
Naturally, you throw a couple quick-witted comments his way and heāll appreciate it anyhow, but the whole facade he has up is exhausting sometimes and to have someone tell him to his face that they can tell what heās really like even without the mask slipping? Wow. And because he knows what itās like to be judged without having your real personality taken into account, heād never stereotype you, or make decisions about what youāre like that are only skin-deep.
Heās still arrogant, sarcastic and occasionally insulting, but heād never try to make fun of anything youāre insecure about. And if he did it by accident, heād apologise double-quick, make it up to you, and make a mental note never to do that again.
If you ever felt like it, you could spend a few hours in his workshop tinkering on things with him or doing your own stuff and heād be glad to have the company. Doesnāt matter whether youāre into tech and mechanics or not, heād be interested in whatever youāre doing just because youāre choosing to spend time with him and heād usually be alone.
Any time youād walk in, heād interrupt his own work to ask what you were in for. If he got an inkling that you werenāt just there to hang out with the worldās best company, then heād ask seriously whatās wrong ā and whether itās somebody else being critical of you or your own inner monologue, heād have the same response. āYouāre gonna listen to that? Poor taste.ā
