What do you think of the characterisation of Orion and Walburga in "Legacy" from Shadowmistress13 ? In this story, Orion takes some liberties with Walburga which she allows herself. How do you feel about that ?

Goodness, what did he do in that story? it’s been almost 5 years since I read it and I don’t remember any specifics. I guess he just kissed her several times…no? You see - sometimes we incorporate certain stories in 'our' worlds and sometimes we just don't. I remember there were some ideas in that story that I didn't share…but tbh it’s so difficult to find a decent ow story where they are not cold-blooded maniacs, and even more difficult to find a decent romance story, that I never go deep into 'what I dislike' . To answer your question - in general, I’m not into turning them into victorian puritan couple 🤷🏻‍♀️ at all. However it’s important (for me at least) not to spoil ‘the magic’, so to speak… I would hate to make them vulgar. If you ask me whether ‘my’ Orion and Walburga would do the things they did in that story - then my answer is no and no. You see, I have completely other views on their personalities. But, at the same time, I always say that it’s a good ow story which is an extreme rarity.

What do you think about Sirius having a potential crush on his older cousin Bellatrix when he was younger ? That's a headcanon I've had for years which brings me to his apparent hate for that said cousin decades later. Sirius is an interesting fellow, he says things, but does the contrary and perhaps even feels entirely differently ! His relationships with cousins is really something to explore in my opinion. Andy being his "favourite cousin" could surely go with his habit to "rewrite" history.

I agree it’s quite easy to imagine a such scenario. There is potential on this path. Five or six years ago I came across one Sirius/Bella fic that was quite good in my opinion. So I totally see it as a plausible variant. But I must admit that in the universe I draw there is no romantic interest between them. The 'kissing cousins' trope is solely reserved for OW. I channel all romance on ow so it’s just more convenient for me to concentrate on one couple.

That’s why, in my opinion, the strong feelings, they undoubtedly share, are based on their similarity and the feeling of belonging to one very close family circle. Idk if you know that feeling…when you look at your relative and see the same eyes, the same mouth, same skin…when you recognize someone as part of yourself. It’s as if you look directly in the mirror. I have a cousin who looks remarkably similar to me and even thinks the same way I do even though we are almost 15 years apart) it’s a very peculiar familial feeling. Bellatrix understands Sirius' motives like no one else and knows his fears. And like any elder sister or cousin, she has that strange feeling of ownership over her younger siblings and cousins. She clearly thinks that she’s the big boss in their small circle of children of their generation. And among this circle, she has her faves - Andromeda and Sirius.

I guess the problem between them ( in the period when Sirius runs away) is that they both disapprove of the other’s friends. I agree - on Sirius's part there is a great deal of admiration (lol I imagine he strongly disapproves of her choice of husband - "why him?’))) but in my opinion, it’s not a romantic feeling. The same way Bella feels toward Andromeda. Though I must say Bella’s disapproval of others’ friends is excessively cruel… but strangely she just wants Sirius and Andromeda back under her influence. Later when she was affected by her husband’s circle there might be different motives that altered her relationships towards her wayward relatives but deep down she still values her family (I believe such views are pure hc since in hp she killed a bunch of her relatives - but certainly not in my universe).

All in all, I think that the romantic flavor in their relationship can undoubtedly be present but not in my universe. We don't need too much inbreeding in the family;)) For me, it’s more convenient not to add a potential romantic interest and solely concentrate on Sirius's admiration of her as a senior cousin (she's his evil twin).

Who is the oldest between Walburga and Lucretia ?

Lucretia is older, I put her birthday...in February (say 7th or 11th of Feb). Walburga's bd is on the 30th of May.
