is there such a thing as mediums? like, witches whose main thing is to help the ghosts communicate with the living? and does the ability to see or perceive ghosts depend on the ghost's ability to manifest or on the witch's abilities to see into the spirit world? and do witches have to have a specialty, a predisposition to a specific field of magic or could they know a bit of everything? sorry there's so many questions and thanks!
Oh, yes! if you look at our expanded witch lore, we have the various disciplines that witches can delve into and that includes mediumship under psychic magic! witches can definitely have a broad range of interests as far as fields of magic go, but the trade off is that the more they choose to branch out, the shallower their mastery will be compared to someone with a narrower focus.as far as ghosts go, the ability to perceive/sense them is more on the shoulders of the witch! ghosts, when tangible, are actually more human and less ghostly, but a witch who delves into psychic/sensory magic may perceive a ghost regardless of their current state. though I think it can also a balancing act because a ghost thatās on the brink of fading may be difficult to sense out?I hope this answers everything!!!! with our site now open, we hope youāll choose to join us on discord where we can more easily address any questions! otherwise, our cbox is also a great place for anonymous questions if you donāt want to make an account yet!Ā c;Ā

And, like a fool, you give it to him.
I got asked for clarification on this (but canāt reblog that particular post cuz on mobile), which Iām more than happy to provide.
In this post, a faerie is asking for āyourā name. The way he is wording it, however, and the accompanying beckoning motion, makes it seem as though he is asking for you to physically hand your name over. Which, because of how some faeries operate, he is.
In this instance, saying your name aloud to the fae would be literally giving your name over to him, the exact consequences of which are left up to the imaginationāusually, a fae even knowing your name gives it some measure of power over you, but giving something your name would likely let it completely take over your life.
In this instance, the wording you want to use is something like āI will not give you my name, but I will tell you that itās [name].ā Alternately, you can just lie to him.
Might i suggest the less direct yet still name-preservingĀ āyou may call meā¦ā? It dodges the request while still giving an answer of a name, which does not even have to be yours, but any name you feel like telling the fae they can use to refer to you. I would recommendĀ āAinselā.

I don't remember if I asked you this, but will this site be accepting of all writing levels? With no grammar police or pressure to be perfect at grammar and no pressure to know all the grammar or comma rules?

THE RULES OF FIGHT CLUB:
No ranged weapons; all else is fair game.
No killing.
Save for rules one and two, there are no rules.
Popular by word of mouth and very rarely by invitation, Reddingās underground supernatural fighting establishment can get brutal fast, but thatās why peopleĀ watch. They come to see knuckles breaking against jaws, skin splintering over bone. Blood turns to rust under fluorescent lights, seeping into the concrete as the cheers of patrons drown out the sound of teeth grinding against teeth.
The big matches are held on Friday nights and weekends, but there are fights scheduled almost daily. Spectators go to Ravenās Row, enter the most rundown, ramshackle building, take a lift down, and arrive at Inferno where the bids run high and adrenaline runs even higher.
The proprietor requires an entry fee for each fight and pays a stipend to fighters thatās largely determined by their win/loss ratio. Successful fighters can take home large sums; less successful ones barely break even. If fight fixing, coercion, blackmail occur behind closed doors, itās kept hush-hush to maintain the integrity of the establishment, and most people involved, even the bookies, have legitimate day jobs.
Humans do participate, but they are very few and far between and are limited to those who have proven they can hold their own in the ring. Everyone is given a ranking which is mostly for betting purposes. Rank ones are the sure bets, those with multiple wins under their belt and reputations to precede them. Rank twos are decent and carry around 50/50 odds. Rank threes are the underdogs, tend to lose more than they win, or are newcomers, but even a dark horse can best giants.
