When are DC gonna learn that Ivy isn’t an emotionless asshole who loves to torture, rape and abuse people. She’s suffered abuse too and would want to use her powers to kill abusers, rapists and corporations that destroy and harm the earth. She’s connected to the green and loves and respects all life, of course she will feel maternal and empathetic and do what she can to help those in need and protect the earth and innocent life. Even though she can control people she would never rape them or take advantage of them sexually, the only people she would want to control and harm are people who cause hurt, destruction and pain to the earth and life on it.

You don’t make a character literally be the closest embodiment of ‘mother nature’ and then make her an abusive rapist who takes pleasure in torturing and killing innocent people.

It was hard not to chuckle at Pamela’s comments about the coffee. True, it did smell quite unnatural. Then again, this wasn’t just normal coffee. It had some special flavors worked in so it might appear quite unusual. And since she claimed to have a doctor in  botanical biochemistry it didn’t surprise her at all that she would say something like that.

Ivy couldn’t help but smile — amused, though it remained discreet. Pepper, while nothing like the people she usually spent time with, was far from bad company, on the contrary. “I hope nobody is trying to pretend that it’s organic,” she commented after having brought the cup to her lips again, scrunching up her nose at the smell. She could have almost called it a stench, something pollution-like.

The question made her pause. It had been years she had last worked on actual botanical biochemistry. I rob bank, poison people and get arrested a lot, didn’t seem like a good answer.

       “We study the substances produced by plants, their respiration and transpiration, photosynthesis as well as possible applications of diverse substances and toxins. It’s quite vast, really.”

Ivy cocked an eyebrow, little smirk stretching the corner of her mouth as she watched the man. “Do you wish for my lips on yours to be the last thing you ever feel, Oswald?” Calling him by his first name was odd, and only a very rare occurrence.

It was a complicated situation, but at least, they seemed to be on the same page and to understand its exact extent. Yet there wasn’t much either of them could do without making things worse.

“And I cannot be the one to kill him.” Ivy sighed deeply. “She would never forgive me. And you know I can’t have that.”
