Pepper was standing in front of his door in the middle of the door. It was so surreal for him. Pepper never appeared at his mansion without calling him beforehand, especially not in the middle of the night. Hell usually it was him who called her at 3am cause he wanted a party and she had to organize it right now. To be honest she was lucky that he was just finished with the one night stand for this night and that said woman was asleep in his bed now. Actually he had been on his way into the kitchen to get a coffee and then down into his workshop when Jarvis notified him of Peppers arrival.
Wearing nothing but a pair of sweatpants he slowly made his way to the door, silently wondering why he had to open it and Pepper didn’t just came in given that she had a key and the clearance to enter this building whenever she needed. “Okay Pep. Is hell freezing or why are you..holy shit!” He had started talking the moment he opened the door and he certainly didn’t expect to be greeted by Pepper who had a suitcase in one hand and was holding the hand of a small child with her other.
