A while back my best friend and I took a vacation together and she crocheted me a scarecrow keychain. Took another vacation with that same friend and she crocheted me a little Jervis keychain!

She did freehand them, so unfortunately there is no pattern to these that I can share.

When she gave him to me she said " Its our boyfriend's, boyfriend!"

I had to grab the new Yellow Lantern Scarecrow pin from Pinforce, and while I was at it, I may have added a couple more Spellbinders and yes, more Scarecrows, because I need duplicates upon duplicates to put on all my hoodies and bags.

But here’s the best part, every time I order on their site, I leave in the customers notes “Please make a BTAS Mad Hatter (Jervis Tetch).”

Well, they actually announced they’re making him!

So I hopped onto their Facebook page to ask about the release date, and they told me June 18 and they’re making him because I requested him so many times 😅

Hi! If it isn't a problem, do you have any tips for beginners on how to make plushies? I saw a post of yours where you made a Scarecrow doll and wanted to have a go at making one but I have no clue where to start. Anything helps!

Oh golly! Honestly, just start wherever feels easiest for you, there's no right or wrong way to do it!

If you want structure, YouTube has tons of beginner tutorials and free patterns you can follow for sewing and crocheting. But if that feels a little overwhelming, you can totally just grab an existing plush with the shape you like and either sew or hot glue fabric directly over it, and turn it into your own design! That's basically how I made my Scarecrow Labubu doll. If sewing's not your thing, hot glue is your best friend!

Personally, I love needle felting! It's super beginner friendly, really forgiving if you make a mistake and a little therapeutic to just stab something over and over. You can even needle felt directly onto an existing fabric plush to save on time and materials. It honestly feels like painting, but with wool and a giant needle.

But mostly just have fun with it! Experiment a little with different materials you feel comfortable working with. If you're making a scarecrow of your own, the good news is, your work doesn't have to be perfect! It's actually better if he's kinda messy, sloppy stitches or a little uneven.

Was running errands today and I got so many genuine compliments on my new shirt! It sparked so many unexpected Crane talks, which led to them talking about their favorite Batman character and why. It was legitimately really cool, Don't hide your fandom!
