I think when it comes to voices and people in general, everyone is unique. There are things only you can do. So it's up to you to find your own charm. It's like a magic that cant be compared to others.
So when it comes to voicebanks and worrying about this or that, comparing to other people's work, that kind of thing is self-defeating in the end. They say that comparison is the thief of joy. Do you find joy in walking your own route, or do you find joy trying to keep up with people you ultimately will never be?
I used to worry about my voice, I used to hate it. But I came to find that it has a charm and special quality that is unique to only me. So instead of trying to shape and mold it, or record something that attracts someone else, I honed my unique skills to express myself.
Life feels better when you don't feel you have to impress someone. The way you draw, the way you sing, the way your voicebank sounds, all of it is totally unique. It is your own creation. There's merit and value in that fact alone.
So own it! :D
