It is amazing what we put ourselves through in life. The negativity that we surround ourselves with only keeps us from achieving our true potential.

Many years ago, I sat beside a grocery store on a pay phone talking to my father about how I might have made a mistake. I was broke, between jobs, and starting college soon. With little food in the house for my bride, I was certain that I made a mistake. Dad gave me the standard advice just keep going. I internalized that advice, and vowed that we would never be in that position again. #warriormentality #nevergiveup

I have feasted over the years storing extra pounds (heaviest weight 230 that I know. At some point I stopped weighing myself out of shame) like I was preparing for that day to return. I realize fear was driving along with poor choices.

I have been set free! I am no longer a slave to fear! Fear is a liar! It is more than a declaration it is a fact. We choose to hear the loudest voice. When we surround ourselves with voices that cannot see the path only doom and despair. It is no wonder why our lives take a negative turn. We most defeat the negativity. Win a simple battle today. Push to make today a little better than yesterday! Yes, fear will come, self doubt, but you are a warrior and nothing can stop you except yourself!

Too many times we face challenges or turbulence that make us want to give up. I found that comfort in proverbs 27:17 iron sharpens iron...

In short, 2019 through a heavy load with many burdens to test my faith, crush my hope, and end my love. However, as the friction mounted from each blow of the hammer of life, the metal of my soul began to take shape. Through each trail, my faith was tested. My resolve remain true. The course of my life set like a river from source to destination. The path may slightly change due to the abandance of a flood, or through a drought of tough times, but the destination remains the same. Through self reflection, friends, and most importantly my faith what surely should have destroyed me has only molded my soul and strengthen my resolve. May you not see each strike of the hammer of life as a crushing defeat, but be patient to see how you are being transformed and move back to the main current of your life.
