We Could Be Heroes is a “The Property of Hate” charity, digital-only fanzine where all of the proceeds (not including gumroad fees) will be donated to the Ehlers Danlos Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the research, management, and care of those who have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short). I will be personally matching the resulting donated amount up to $300USD as well to make sure we give a good chunk to the charity. This charity book will have a total of 30 participants and has the following guidelines:
Illustration-quality works in either digital or traditional mediums. Both colour and b/w acceptable; background required. *BG can be as simple as a pattern or colour block! Avoid utilizing a camera to submit your images, please use a scanner.
The illustration file will be 6″x9″, 300 dpi (1800px x 2700px), RGB, flattened psd. A template will be provided to participants.
Keep to only the canon characters of TPOH! Fan characters are allowed if they’re kept to the background of an appropriately themed piece (in the market or as a cameo on a book).
A reminder that this is not a Light Entertainment focused zine! If you wish to include Magnus in the zine piece, please consider putting him in the background.
Characters will be assigned based on the application survey. This is necessary so that the book will have an even spread of characters instead of a heavy focus on one particular character. You will be allowed to draw any other character along with the assigned character as long as the assigned character is the primary focus of the illustration.
