And the winner is ...

YESSSSS! I have won a photo competition with fotocommunity. The topic was ‘facets of sport’ and my picture was rated with 8,44 points out of ten. The runner up was almost 1 point behind (7,46). Now - my picture will be on display on the worlds biggest photofair - photokina in Cologne / Germany.

Dear friends, It has been quite a while since I posted the last time on tumblr - I’ve been way to busy to keep track of this (you know, you have to use one of these excuses all the time :-) )

Honstely, I had the fortune to shoot a awful lot of good music ...

Frank Turner, Nena, Guildo Horn, Andy Ost, Hanne Kah and many more ... thousands of pictures were taken - and quite a couple of them were really good ;-)

A small selection out of thousand od photos I have shoot in NYC over the last 10 years. Next trip to “THE CITY” is planned for April 2016 and at the end of the year the exhibition with well known German painter Kerstin Leicher shoukd be ready - project: Photo meets Acryl. Kerstin will paint in her unique style on 12 selected balck and white photos of New York - a pretty exiting project I am looking forward to.

Ein ganz kleiner Ausschnitt aus den tausenden von Bilder die ich in den letzten 10 Jahren in New York habe machen können. Der nächste Trip ist für April geplant und am Ende des Jahres wird auch die Ausstellung mit Kerstin Leicher soweit sein - Project: Photo meets Acryl. Kerstin wird in Ihrer unvergleichlichen Art 12 meiner s/w NYC Bilder bemalen - ein sehr geiles Projekt auf das ich mich sehr freue.

Mondy, Feb 8 2016 - the whole city of Mainz is looking forward to celebrate the yearly ‘Rose Monday Parade’ - than it was canceled because of a storm warning. Thousands of dissapointed carnival activists (in German ‘Narren’) and lovers were left behind disappointed - they had prepared themselves and the cars for this huge parade (> 10.000 participants, 160 parade numbers, 500.000 people in the streets watching and celebrating the climax of street carnival. The picture “the lonely Narr’ shows best how those people have felt, lonely and frustrated. A big thank you to my friend Peter who actively supported the idea and the making of this picture.

Montag, 08. Februar 2016 - ganz Mainz freute sich auf den Rosenmontagsumzug und dann ... wird er abgesagt wegen einer Sturmwarnung. Zurück bleiben viele enttäuschte Fastnachter, die sich Monatelang auf diesen großen Tag vorbereitet haben ... ‘Der einsame Narr’ spiegelt ein wenig das Gefühl wider, das in einem jeden von uns vorherrschte - Leere. Danke an Peter, der bereitwillig mit mir die Idee des einsamen Narren umsetzte.
