My city before the earthquake

I see people getting married to people they’ve known for, like, a year and a half. A year and a half? Is that really enough time to get to know someone to know you want to spend the REST of your life with them? I mean, I’ve had sweaters for a year and a half and I was like, “What the fuck was I doing with this sweater?”

It makes me extremely mad when people only go into things 50%. Never 100%. What’s the point of even doing something when you have no intention of actually sticking it to the end or committing yourself? This applies to sports, hobbies, relationships with people, exercise, and academics. If you’re going to try something new in life, talk to someone new, or make yourself healthier, why half-ass it and only stick one foot in the door? What does that ultimately show about your character?
As happy as I am doing all of the things that I am passionate about, I can’t help but think how much better it would be to share that passion with another person.
It takes a special kind of person to be a runner. In every other sport, you do it to hurt someone else. When you run, you do it to hurt yourself. It takes a special kind of mentality to survive in this sport.

I just saw this ad playing before a youtube video and I had to stop and watch the whole thing. Incredible.
